Sure, there would be a point you stop playing him. But right now he's proving himself to be serviceable.

The weakness of ice defense is the elbow extended jumper. Cousins and Hibbert are both long enough to stay below foul line and still challenge shots out to 20 feet. Reggie Evans, not so much.
