Full Rotation?

Willie(20)/Giles(15-20)/Kosta(15)
Bagley(20-25)/Ska(15-20)l/Bjelica/Z-Bo
Bjelica/Jackson/Bogy/Shump
Buddy(20-25)/Bogy(20-25)/B-Mac
Fox(25-30)/Yogi(10-15)/Mason(5-10)

Unless they go ten deep, a lot of guys we want to play aren't gonna see minutes.

Buddy better be getting close to 30mpg. Play him/Bogy at the 3 if need be.

I hope not. I wanna see the best 8 or 9 guys get the lions share of the minutes. Especially early on with the Bogdan injury i'd expect that to be the case.

Yogi Farrell is like 5'11" in reality... I anticipate seeing him at SG.. I'm hoping we see Bagley get a small chunk of mins at SF consistently..

I feel like the progress of Buddy and Justin Jackson loom large in this equation. If their rolling and Bogdan returns to form, IDK how players like Shumpert and McLemore can see much PT.

Given the situation with no draft pick to fall back on I'm hoping they can hit the ground running, and I figure it's gotta be easier to get that chemistry with 8 or 9 guys rather than hockey shifts.

Obviously just a big rotation of WCS-Marvin-Giles-Labissiere-Bjelly and sometimes KK is gonna require a bit of a juggling act, I hope we dont see the same at the PG-SG-SF positions.

If Willie's only to get 20MPG he's as good as gone.

I would pencil in Willie for more minutes than last year, so 30 minimum...

I see Fox/Buddy/Bogdan/Bjelica/Giles/Yogi/Iman/Jackson/Skal/Bagley playing at least, not even figuring in WCS. I think it will be a large rotation

I can see Joerger going 10-12 deep to be honest, just too many players on the roster that don't stand out over one another so there will be lots of competition and in order to establish a shorter rotation, players will have to step up more than their competition and cement their minutes.

I have hope we have a group that is skilled enough to have a couple of players who can be at the 30mpg usage rate.

With saying that I hope that is because a couple of them are good enough that they need to be on the floor and not because the rest of the team sucks.

Agreed. Fox and Buddy need to be out there for 30mpg a piece. I could live with Bogdan and Bagley at 25min. Giles and Skal at 20min. Jackson needs some minutes to see what we've got but the rest need to be worked around the core guys.

If anything, Joerger needs to keep the guys in if they're playing well. No more 10pt first quarters for Skal, only to have him benched until the 3rd so the other guys can get their minutes. These guys need to put up numbers and build their confidence and that's hard to do when everyone is averaging 10pts/gm because they have to share minutes to keep everyone happy.

The Kings need to start playing more than a few players real starters minutes. Not doing so is the reason a team with 3 top 6 picks out of the last 3 drafts don't have a single player in the top 100. Inexcusable and at some point irreversibly damaging to a rebuild.

Fox, Buddy, Bogi, WCS should all be getting 30+

Bagley, Giles, Jackson, Yogi, Bjelicia should be anywhere from 20-28 and the rest should be getting scrap minutes or waiting their turn since injuries always come up.

If we end the season an not one player averaged over 30 mpg than the season is a dissapointment because it means no player stepped up enough to be a key cog.

PG - Fox (32 min) / Ferrell (16 min)
SG - Hield (30 min) / Bogdan (18 min)
SF - Bogdan (12 min) / Jackson (20 min) / Bjelica (16 min)
PF - Giles (16 min) / Bagley (14 min) / Labissiere (18 min)
C - WCS (26 min) / Bagley (12 min) / Giles (10 min)

Fox = 32 min

Bogdan = 30 min
Bagley = 26 min
Giles = 26 min
Cauley-Stein = 26 min
Jackson = 20 min
Labissiere = 18 min

Not bad....the one spot I’d disagree is that Yogi needs and will get more than 16 minutes a game.....he’s going to get minutes at both guard spots. How he gets there, not sure but he’s going to get closer to 20-24 somehow, someway

I think Yogi and Bjelicia will both be 22-28 minutes a piece.

Here's how I'd like to see Joerger distribute the minutes once the season starts and Bogi is back. Of course, how things go during the pre-season can change things.

Fox: 30 min
Ferrell: 20
Hield: 30
Bogi: 30
Jackson: 20
Beli: 20
Bagley: 20
Giles: 20
WCS: 30
Koufos: 15
?: 5

Last year the Kings had 6 players in double figures, albeit low double figures Statistically this is in the right direction, though, if 3-4 of the scorers last year could raise their average about 3 pts and maybe 1 or 2 new players bring a scoring punch.....the Kings might be more competitive, but that's a tall order. Each player raising scoring average requires a significant uptick in FG% - quite difficult. But, there's actually an easier way - improve FT %. Yes, the Kings were 28th in the league in combined team FT %. - with only the Lakers and Thunder with worse FT %. They need to work on their FTs collectively. An almost as big statistic though, was number FTs made - Kings were worst in the league at 12.3 FTM per game almost 2 ppg less than the next team. So not only did they have an awful percentage they had the league worst number of FTs made. This statistic must change this season. Their FTs% at least MUST improve if they expect to be more competitive. Joerger and staff should be piling on the FTs in practice to the point of nauseum.

Your list doesn't include Skal. Intentional?

What people fail to realize: Shump is going to get a lot more minutes than most people think.

Don't be surprised if he gets 20-25 min a night. Joerger loves him and he will see the floor a lot.
like it or not!

I'm optimistic (hopeful?) about Skal, but think it would do wonders for his confidence if he got big minutes on our G League team. He can still practice with the team and fill in if/when someone gets hurt. That said, if he really brings it to the pre-season games, then I'd want to make room for him.

Maybe. But you're acting like it's a fact waiting to happen and I don't see it. Shump may be useful to this team if he can play D as good or better than ever before. But that's a big question mark. And he's not going to add to our offense. Probably even subtract from it. And where did Joerger say that he "loves" Shump? Maybe he did; I don't know. Or is that just a rerun of the familiar chant that "Joerger loves his veterans" and we simply replace "his veterans" with the name of any veteran? Maybe he does love Shump, or maybe he will come to love Shump. But I think that remains to be seen.

Yeah. I was about to say. He’s being slept on. Looks fit and improving into his own on social media. He’s going to get serious burn without Bogey early, and may cement himself into that rotation in a year Joerger will want to win and have some vet voice on the floor

He looks good on social media and is a competitor, I can see a career rejuvenation

We dont need Shump scoring, we need him to stop someone from scoring. Someone else can score when he's in. A lineup of Fox/Buddy/Shump/BJ/WCS makes him like the 4th option on offense, but balances it on D.

who is behind him in that lineup if he is 4th? that actually could be our starting lineup if JJ does not show well in training camp.

I believe as a team we did not attack the paint much and settled for way to many midrange shots and that led to a low number of free throws.
Can we change that? I hope we can by having buddy and Fox for example attacking consistently and hopefully Giles and Bagley working more inside as the season progresses.

And please I hope they reduce the hopeless isolation with folks like ZBO

Team should only go ten deep at most once the season starts. Depending on who impresses in the next few weeks here I have it as
PG: Fox,Yogi

SG/SF: Buddy, Bogi, Jackson

PF: Bagley, Bjelicia

C: WCS, Giles

That's nine bodies that will surely be in the rotation leaving some minutes for one of Mason, Ben, Shumpert, Skal, Kosta, ZBo.

We're going to see a bit of everybody - and we should. They need to figure out who they want to keep going forward and who won't be here come February. I cannot understand how some of you seem to overlook the concept of rebuilding. We are nowhere near ready for a 9 or 10 man rotation.

Yogi at 5'11" is going to have some trouble trying to play the 2 in the current NBA. There are plenty of SGs in the 6'4 to 6'6" range that can post him up and wear him out.
