Friday Night Lights - AWESOME!

Got a call to go up to Friday Night Lights for filming ... should be fun.

Nothing much in the first few days - but hopefully it turns into something more after Thanksgiving. I'm doing it for the kicks, if I get something credited that'd be cool, but it's not what I'm after. Just want to have some fun on a set again.

Good thing is - I get to watch tonight's game! I'm scheduled freaking all night Thursday and Friday until 5AM. ARGH.

Aren't they filming in Pflugerville? I went to Pflugerville high school where they are filming if you are referring to the same show. How long are you going to be in town? Never caught the show, but somebody told me that it was being filmed at my old high school.

We'll be filming outside Austin, in Bastrop, for the upcoming scenes.

I'll be in town for a while. I'm scheduled for a few days and then we'll see what happens.

I'm doing it for the grins, so if it's fun I'll stick with it. If not ... I'll not.

Well, obviously I've returned from location.

Whew. Tough stuff. Had a blast and have to report back to the set on Tuesday. It's been worth it though.

Here are a few pics I snapped after filming a game. (definitely need to get some better shots) It was a nice and balmy 30 degrees out ... fun stuff. You'll notice that my underarmor is COLDGEAR ... and it was worth every penny.

So, anyhow, so far so good. I've done a couple episodes, gotten a bit part and am on contract ... so, that at least keeps the lights on while my newest project is getting off the ground. Heh. Nothing like making money by having fun.

Okay, full story here -

Filmed the pilot in Pflugerville and we are based off of the Pflugerville Panthers.

After the show was picked up, the network leased a closed down high school stadium near Austin-Bergstrom(sp) Airport. They completely renovated it and it acts as home to the Dillon Panthers.

All the teams we play are based on teams in the district, which I thought was a cool touch.

We do travel for away games though.

Cool news from the set is that we're having a big name director come in to film two or three episodes. I know who the director is and it'd be mad crazy cool to get him. But, I'm not sure if I'm allowed to disclose. The moment I know, I'll tell.

That is one of my favorite shows right now. The town and way it reacts to football reminds me of how Sutter is here. Not as crazy though.

Strangely enough, I'm cool with Taylor, Gaius and Zach ... but I've not met Scott but once and none of the ladies.

During one of my scenes though, I had a big goof around with the director about how the story would progress much better if Minka had some sort of a 4 way love triangle ... and I ultimately win out. He disagreed.
