Great news!

Monarchs center Chantelle Anderson lost almost 20 pounds while finding her game in France.

Anderson also re-energized her game overseas this winter and spring. She played seven months for Valenciennes, the best team in France, averaging 9.7 points (on 51.9 percent shooting) and 5.4 rebounds.

"I got my confidence back," said Anderson, the No. 2 overall pick in the 2003 draft. "I feel good. I'm in shape. I wanted to come back early so I could establish myself and get adjusted."

" 'Wonderful' doesn't begin to describe how it feels to finally come to camp healthy," Anderson said. "And I've been playing real well. That was my goal: To come back on an upswing." :D
