LOL, and one more thing, I'd like to thank VF for her great PBP's this year. I've never really followed the NBA, but I have found myself staying up until 1 AM when the Kings play this year to see how Garcia does, and I've also found myself rooting for the team in general after spending the past months lurking on this very website. Its funny to read a pro sports website after spending all of my time up until now on college sites. Lots of the same gripes, but loyal nonetheless...just takes a while to get used to the idea that while watching other teams, you can scout players that you would want to bring to your own team, and see players that you used to root for.

Whatever. Sorry, but I was referring to the state you live in...

My point was about Garcia. If you want to make it about some ridiculous mistake on my part about a college, then we obviously have nothing to talk about.
VF, I was just joking.....kind of. It's like if I called you a L.A. Faker fan. That's all I meant by it....... Just a joke.......

As bad as his 3pt shot has been almost all season, I distinctly remember two very clutch shots that he has swished. One in preseason, and then here in overtime to ice it. If only he would wander into 2pt land every once in a while, he might be a very effective option for us.

As far as defense goes, I don't remember him getting embarassed by Kobe once tonight. When Kobe is hitting spinning, fall-away jumpers with a hand a centimeter from the ball, thats not embarassing, that's just Kobe. Garcia made sure that he wasn't getting wide open looks or paths to the basket, and I think that his resiliant defense is what kept Kobe from beating us single handedly on a VERY hot night for him.

I like that he didn't let up when he got into foul trouble and was able to hold out for the rest of the night. I thought he might fall apart after Kobe charged him and they called the foul on Garcia.

Well, remember we are getting Bonzi back at some point, so not this year. What it DOES mean is that we have what are becoming dependable replacements at both the 2 and 3. Our starters might not have to win (or lose) every game single handedly anymore once we get healthy.

Did somebody say DC? :D Cisco did as good a job you could ask for against Kobe, even better than DC late in the game. Then again, Kobe seems to rise to the occasion when he goes up against DC.

What I liked about Garcia is he never hung his head and tried to do too much. In the first half he tried to aggressively block Kobe's 3 point shot--something most young athletic players try to do against a big shot player like Kobe--and ended up fouling him. In the 2nd half though, he was discipline and stayed the course and did a good job of making Kobe fall in love with his jumper, keeping him away from driving to the lane. Late in the game, Kobe missed alot of jumpers and while bad shot selection is one reason, Cisco's length did bother him IMO. Although Martin does show some qualities, Cisco looks to be the one that's more similar to DC.
