Best case would be they HAVE to stay in sac and they HAVE to sell the team. I would spearhead the movement to spearhead the Maloofs

The reality crowd though left in about 2004... Stayed there for a week in 2008 and it was a ghost town. Like a serious Luxor ghost town. If you don't know what I mean then go to the Luxor and walk around. I go to Vegas all the time, and the Palms isn't even on my list of casinos I visit anymore because it's dead there. Even their nightclub which used to be "exclusive" isn't so exclusive anymore. It felt like they hired extras to make it seem like a place to be. Seriously felt like I was on a TV show because the "extras" weren't even interacting with anyone, and the rest of the peopel were just standing around too.

Come on Gary. I understand the emotions and possible anger, but I was at the Palms for dinner while taking in summer league, and the place had just as many people as any of the other casino's. Except maybe the one's with huge malls, like Ceasar's. I'll be honest, to me all the casino's look alike. But the Palms has one of the best mexican resturants around. So maybe I'm biased...

It'sQ unfortunate that emotions get in the way of the reality of business in the NBA. In the online research I did, the Maloofs and the Palms are a totally separate item from the Maloofs and the Kings. The Caesars connection to the Palms would likely be with the third Palms property, condos only and the second property, the condos with the Playboy Club. That doesn't mean the Palms Casino is not part of the financial dealings as in Las Vegas every property is having financial issues the last couple of years. But casinos are doing better than condos in Vegas these days based on being there week ago and asking around.

But I firmly believe from all the info that's come my way, the Maloofs will not sell the Kings. From the latest info one scenario becomes the Kings moving to Anaheim and the new daddywarbucks backing a new arena in Sacramento and buying the Hornets and moving them to Sacramento while the new arena is being built. His track record financing a new arena for the Pittsburg Penguins a few years ago prevented their leaving town.

Otherwise the Maloofs have had their hand forced with respect to the Kings arena issue in Sacto and moving to a tenant arrangement in Anaheim just might be the best business decision they can make considering the Las Vegas albatrosses hanging around their necks. The Kings value should recover much quicker than the Las Vegas property values.

After today's happenings, it looks like FOX actually was right about this one. And this report came before the Burkle thing!
