For those who likes or dislikes Yao Ming

Indeed, Yao's been just awesome since February. He should stay this way too (aggressive). I don't think as many people think he's soft/weak.

BTW, Kings aren't soft anymore. Haven't been since late January. ;)

You miss the point here;)

The plays in the clip are all from before this year. If this year's clip is to be made, it probably would be highlights of all the double and triple teams on him.

Due to his recent dominance, all the people are saying this guy has improved all the sudden, he becomes tough, etc, but as you can see from this clip, he had never really been that soft or weak or watsoever as the media described.

I am sure most of the Kings fans do not really have a chance to watch this guy often, so most people's impressions of Yao are mostly from the media, which bascially describe him as soft, weak, just little better than Rik Smith ,etc. From this clip you can really see the difference between the actual performance of a player and the media.

And btw, what I wanted to ask is, do we have this kind of clip for the Kings players(sorry for my bad english from the original post)? I had only seen Bibby's one only.

Yao never was soft or weak. He was just inadequately conditioned and confused. At this point in his career though, he should no longer get praise for doing what he's capable of (given his talent and size and the lack of competition at the C position). And this is what he's capable of.

Yao in March:

37.9min 27.6ppg (.529 FG% .892 FT%) 11.0rebs 1.8ast 0.4stl 2.1blk

And so yes Yao should be praised -- if he has indeed arrived and can sustain over a full season, those are the numbers of a Hall of Fame center right there. Completely dominant.

trade anybody on the team to get him over here :D

If he really is going ot be 27 and 11 for his career, I absolutley agree.

But afraid that also means he is completely 100% untouchable if he was not already (and he probably was given his enormous following). Will make all the "I'd rather have Brad" sentiment of the last year or two look rather silly though.

Yao is for real. He's got great post skills, and is a great passer. His problem was endurance and not getting enough touches due to Houston's guards looking for their shots. They don't go down to Yao nearly enough.

I've been a believer ever since I saw him post up Shaq a few years ago; it was a thing of beauty, very reminiscent of the Dream. I think he still needs to improve his rebounding, and he needs to develop more of a killer instinct. I wouldn’t call him soft, but i wouldn't say he was tough either.

I actually think he is becoming dominant. Hi sgame is more like KG than it is Shaq, but man...7'6" is crazy for that kind of touch on the low block.
