Yep. But in looking at the stats and the way the league has developed over the last number of seasons the idea that a team needs a PG to run the offense is totally antiquated.
The top 5 in apg this season were Young, Jokic, Hali, Cade, and Harden. Hali is the only one that even remotely resembles a "true" PG and even he is more of a connector type. He lets others run the offense and will quick swing off the catch or draw and kick.
Now, lets go back to 2010. The top 5 were Steve Nash, Rajon Rondo, Deron Williams, Chris Paul, and Jose Calderon. The Kings looking for the new Jose Calderon or Rondo is mind numbing. Get with the times fellas. Caruso? Dort? Rings. Get real talent and keep those Caruso/Dort types.
