[Rumor] Fisher: Sacramento “(confident) the Kings can and will acquire a first-round pick in the latter of tomorrow night's NBA Draft.

If we trade Carter for a ****ing first rounder that isn’t Bailey then I’ll be skipping the season and keeping tabs with Jokic and Wemby enough is enough.

I choose to read it as “If someone we really like starts falling, we’ll be aggressive in trading into the draft to get him”
 
I’m going to be really curious what we would give up for a mid twenties pick if we end up in a buy situation. The Thunder pick makes the most sense, they just don’t have roster space. What is the cost? Swap with protections? Second rounders? The 27 spurs pick?

Brooklyn is another team that is certainly going to be selling off picks, seeing as they have four picks between 19 and 27.

Just keep in mind that a lot of stuff that comes out right now is garbage. People are catching snippets of info and trying to interpret it; people are pushing their own biases onto what they see; people are bouncing reports around 17 times in a huge game of "Telephone"; people are making stuff up out of whole cloth hoping to turn out right.

It's clear from the Kings' last-minute organization of a media draft watch party that we think we can get into the first round in some way. Outside of that, it's all speculation until it actually happens. Not much of a reason to get worked up over anything when 99% of what is out there is garbage.

Oh I know its garbage. I'm just saying of all the reports people drudge up, that is the most insulting and should have tons of push back. For some reason it seems a lot of Sacramento media hates Carter while a lot of people around the league were praising the pick and said it was a steal. I think it's because the Sac guys think (in fact they all told us) that we had a deal for last year's pick to Nets for Cam Johnson, and had we just done that we'd still have Fox and Brown and everything would be awesome.

Lol, such flawed thinking cam would stop fox leaving. Fox was gone the second he stopped being in contention for all nba. He sold us out because he went money hunting and likely would have requested a trade in a year or 2 after signing said super max
