Fire Walton

Fire Walton. Brag about financial wizardry and math nerds thereafter, if that’s what makes you happy.
Are you trying to prove that you have wizardry by pointing all this FO and ownership dysfunction? You don't have a new theory here, the Kings suck man. That usually starts at the top, no surprise. But most of us here are fans, and I'm hoping some of us don't take this sports stuff too seriously. We have Fox and Tyrese to root for because they are nice young players with an unknown future, and meanwhile we can dream that some other coach besides Walton can knight in shining armor the Kings into the playoffs one of these years.

Don't forget there is a whole world out there. Somewhere.

(oh, the fire Walton thread, hmmm)

*clears throat*

We have no idea what Cantenella negotiated or not.

(now I’m also part of the problem)

I don't think he negotiated anything. He was declared a cap specialist when we brought him here vs. others who were noted scouts or personel guys and our salary structures have been creative compared to the traditional raise every year structure. It makes sense to think he was the driving force here doesn't it? Nothing more, nothing less. Maybe I'm wrong and he surfs reddit and Kingfans all day.

Hey Ken!

Sigh.. Unfortunately this is what's in the best interest for the team long-term. Bottom out, fire Walton, trade the vets and get a serious look at Guy/Woodard/Ramsey/Bagley/Jeffries as potential building pieces next to Fox/Hali. It'd be nice for once to believe a 7-1 run was actually real, but hey.. we the Kangz.

Top 5 pick in this class, coach that Monte actually wants and a clean cap sheet would give me hope heading into next year.

Yeh it's probably what is best but it doesn't mean it feels good. I gotta say it was kinda fun thinking we had a chance to compete for once. That 8 game stretch was really good basketball.

Can we get a recap
Barkley wants to know why we suck(he caught himself and said mediocre). We fired multiple coaches and cleaned out our front office but still suck. Turned and asked Kenny why. Kenny said some teams try to build championship teams. Other try to build championship organizations. Instead of just trying to get good players, draft good players without a good organizations it won’t work out. They need to build a strong organization from the top. Shaq defended the kings saying they’re young and need to build around fox who’s 25 and 4 years in. Said they will make the playoffs and laughed when the others said kings weren’t better than Dallas pelicans or the rockets

Just fire Walton. The rest is distraction. I think it’s actually what he wants lol.
why? The Kings have already proven they don’t have the talent to make the play-offs in the loaded west.

1) Walton at worst helps you get in a position for a better lottery spot.

2) the best coaches aren’t moving now so better to not add more disruption to the team.

3) knee jerk reactions with coaches is how we got here.

the bigger concern to me is McNair or Vivek directing McNair.

1) They F’d up the Bogi free agency getting nothing
2) Tillman is playing good minutes for the Grizzlies.
3) Hali looks good but has fallen back some.

We shall see what happens but they appear on track of letting Beli go for nothing, not striking while the iron was hot for Barnes. Is it McNair or Vivek it’s hard to say but what we have seen is concerning.

That was always the likely best outcome. Save for a 3-1 start and a 7-1 run. I am not super paying attention to the schedule but I am guessing at "the break" we may put one of the assistants in charge.

This is the definition of twisting reality to fit your own delusional narrative.

Monte must not understand the history in Sac. At the first sign of success that can be replicated, you should take it and run. Sorry Monte and Vivek, Vlade actually didn't totally tank his build.

Until they commit to the system we saw during that 7-1 stretch this team is doomed regardless of who they put around Fox or what coach they get. Maybe a Spoelstra level coach could put in a motion system that isn't total numbskull level amateur hour like Lukes but it still clearly doesn't utilize Fox, Haliburton, or Bagley to their strengths.

The perfect time to fire Walton is after we lose to the Bucks by 40 points and we will have a new coach on Monday.
I'd be very surprised at this point. They're obviously showcasing guys and I somewhat question the validity of these "injuries". Or at least the extent of them. Like, well you could play but lets make sure you're 100 percent first. It looks like even Fox is holding back.
