I want us to hire a coach who already knows how to coach and not one of a series of poorly selected coaches who are treating their brief stint at Sacramento as on the job training. If we don't spend some money on a good coach, the other $60 mil is wasted. A good coach would lead to more wins and I will bet would pay for himself/herself as attendance increased. In the end, people want to see wins. The people on this forum are a unique group who can find all other kinds of ways to enjoy basketball, pretend they are coaches, pretend they are GMs, pretend they are scouts, and pretend they are beat reporters among other things. The average fan wants an honest effort from a team that seems to want to win. I think most players want to win but need direction. I think some players really don't care. How long can you lose without blotting out the futility of being a King? They make the same amount going through the motions than if they bust their butt. Unfortunately for the money pockets of the Maloofs, the average fan notices and decides there are better things to do.
To some fans, they think trades will solve the problem and endlessly concoct trades. To others, the coach must catch on. Yes, a trade or two would help and yes, a better coach would help a great deal but in the end, as long as this team is owned by the Maloofs, it will not be a winner. You can either adjust to that or move on. Last night was the first game I have turned off in years. I am reaching the end.
