Fire Christie

Christie needs to go! Can’t even help the young guys. His entire game plan is give Russ or Derozan the ball and let them shoot or create
 
IHe will occasionally find something that works, whether that’s a young lineup or certain action, and then completely forget about it the next game.

Always reverts back to iso ball. No movement. Lazy defense.

He is also a fool for putting Precious on Leonard to start the game. Wtf was the thought process there? He let Leonard get hot from the start and then it was too late for anyone to stop him by the time Doug made an adjustment in the second half.

This team was never ever once up and coming. They had a single fun major fluke of a season.
 
If we hit big in the draft, we better have a staff capable of developing that player. We can't be repeatedly firing and hiring coaches and GMs during that next phase. If Perry plans on firing Doug, he should just do it so he can have as much time to search as possible.

Yes they were. We almost won 50 games a year after making a trade for what we thought was a franchise player. We were not only beating certain teams, we were beating them badly, and we were like the second best team on the road in the NBA and tied for the best road team in the west. Fox was coming into his own and Murray looked to be the real deal when beating the rookie 3pt record.. Don't tell me you weren't exited.

He won’t be the head coach next year. He doesn’t have the strategy or the development knowledge.

I'll bet he gets at least 1 more season, with his two year contract. He has been the chosen by the owner for years and they implied before game 1 that this was going to be a gap year
 
Looking for takers on a .sig bet. I'm willing to bet that Doug Christie will NOT be fired as head coach before April 1, 2027. Loser places the following text in their .sig for a year:

"I am an idiot. I thought Doug Christie would (would not) be fired before April 1, 2027."

I think you're right but if I was in your shoes I'd say trade deadline next year.

I was not excited. I knew his inexperience would be his undoing. I knew Vivek was using him to appease the fans, while we lost. I was hoping some of the more experienced assistants would really be the ones calling the shots but they are either no longer here or just riding the line.

They brought in at least 3 guys they thought would be difference makers (Sasha, Duarte, McGee [lol]) and ran off TD, Metu and Queta (no loss but some people are hyperfixated on him). There was no moves in the offseason for Huerter or Barnes.

This is where I'm going to concede that while I liked Monte maybe he sucked at his job because run it back is a bit over-stated. We made all kinds of moves and almost all of them were consistent downgrades right up to the day we traded Fox, when finally he made a few half decent moves that turned out to be rentals anyways.

So tempted. Not that I think you are wrong but on the 30% chance you are putting Eyore in the place of your exclamation point would almost be worth the idiot tag line.

He’ll half the board already thinks it anyway. ;-)
