Sadly, I don't own a Divac jersey. He did play for both teams though.
You do have a right to your opinion and to wear whatever you please. I truly think you're missing the whole point, however.
BOTH teams aren't honoring Vlade. He's being honored in ARCO for his years with the Sacramento Kings. And I personally think it's a night to be proud of being a Kings fan. Wearing a player jersey from the other team on the night when Vlade's KINGS jersey is being raised to the rafters is just cheesy IMHO.
But don't worry. I won't really pound you and neither will kennadog (
) but not for the reason you think. I honestly believe both of us will be way too swept up in the emotion of the evening to pay much attention to things that don't really add to the experience of the event.Peace...
I like 2 teams in most every sport. Mainly because I adopted all the Boston teams when I moved there in 1992 and grew to love all of them (I was a Sox and Bruins fan from day one though).
When Portland gets our MLS team I think they will be the only MLS team I root for. I followed the Revolution in Boston but not after I left, and I liked the Clash until they changed their name.

Cheesy is a nice way of saying it. I think it shows a lack of respect and class. Especially coming from someone who is supposedly a Kings fan...
No following two teams is not bandwaginish, the kings r like my family, LBJ has that jordan effect cuz u kno everyone liked the bulls when he was out there the same with lebron i always watch cuz u never kno wut he will do. Heres what kills me, "kings suck man, there weak its all about kobe" said from the person who was supposed to be kings fan back when they were good. Me i grew up in stockton so i roll with the kings, 49ers, and giants only seems right to me, it gets funny when u see the people who like almost the same combo except they root for the lakers, and there from sac, or stockton , or folsom thats what makes me scratch my head..

A fan is a fan who watches and supports their team through thick and thin, through bad times (1988-1997, 2005-present) and good times (1998-2005), thru fair weather and foul.
A bandwagon fan watches/supports a team when they are winning or real good but forgets them when they don't/aren't.
Living in LA area before coming north in 1984, I was a Laker fan. And they weren't very good for a big bunch of years in there. Didn't matter. I was a fan. The fact that during my bachelor years I used to hang ouit with a couple of them and go to Tall Clubs recruiting 6'2" very attractive ladies for our own games

didn't matter either!!Alright I read my original post and realised that I shouldn't have used the term Lakers fan. I like following/watching the lakers the most, after the Kings of which I am a true fan of. Better?

ummm well i beleive u like teams for different reasons... if u could pick one team to win the championship out of all teams... which one would that be... that wuld be KIngs for me, i love the Blazers... but Kings are my team...
P.S. I cant wait till ESPN says "the Sacramento Kings are now the Kings of the NBA" by winning the chip

That's where I heard it. He and Jerry made a special point of mentioning and emphasizing it. However, I can't find it anywhere else. If they really wanted that, they sure haven't made a point of getting the word out.

I'm a diehard Kings fan, but I like the Hawks as well. Mostly cuz of Mike Bibby and Josh Smith tho. When they leave I will probably stop caring about the Hawks.
