F/C options

Hilton Armstrong is still unsigned? They must be waiting the the Dwight Howard trade to happen before a team scoops him up.

This just in off twitter:

Chris Tomasson: Reggie Evans looking strongly at Boston Clippers Memphis. Nets & Kings also in mix but Nets might reup Humphries, Kings might reup Dalembert Twitter

I like to imagine the Kings with AK-47 and Reggie Evans...

No one seems to consider Kenyon Martin. Already a thread posted on him, so it's more of people not being interested, rather than not being aware he probably is coming back from China.

We don't have enough to sign both AK and Daly, but, I'd strongly consider adding AK/Martin, or Daly/Martin. Think we have the money to do either. That would really bolster our frontline, compared to what we're looking at now. Hopefully Martins tough as nails defensive attitude, would rub off some on JT or Hickson in that scenario.

Dalembert should be #1 priority. You are right that we don't have enough money for both Dalembert and Kirilenko which makes the Outlaw claim even more stupid than 2 days ago. Add Outlaw's $3million to the cap space and all of a sudden we have enough money to sign both.

I am hoping that we can pull off a trade to clear some cap space so that we can land both Kirilenko and Dalembert. We really only need to clear $2-3 million which should not be hard to do.....Surely!

it shouldnt be but do GP and the maloofs want to go down that route. Its not rocket science to us but considering the time this is taking i really am begining to question if they really want to make these moves

Evans would be a solid pickup IMO. Completely worthless offensively but he knows how to stay out of the way at least and he won't try anything stupid. Also tough and not afraid to play dirty.

Are Reggie and Tyreke first cousins? Thought I heard that somewhere before...

Soooo, any international big men FAs out there? Would love to get the rights to Fran Vazquez if he would agree to come over. Kings could pay him, too.

Before Hayes contract was originally voided, I thought there was indications that the Kings were still interested in another big. I hope they take a flyer on either Kyrylo Fesenko or Hamed Haddadi. Both are young, big and at one time I thought they both had a bit of hype about their potential.

Id take Haddadi on a 1 yr deal

Yeha, so have I. Don't know about the 1st cousins part, but definitely remember they were supposed to be cousins.

And Mo Evans is their great aunt.

I would love that myself! I'd never been so pissed at Adelmen when he didn't play Tag, those posts might still be lingering around here somewhere??? Hehehe. Tag came in more than a few times and helped a helpless rebounding and defensive team and then proceeded to sit 3 games in a row. If you look throughout history, Petrie has no problems going after big defensive specialists, the coaches rarely play them however.

Hey, Brick, Tag actually does fit the mold of the big "lane blocker" you speak of, I say the Kings should pick him up! hahaha.

No options out there that I care for the Kings to pursue. Rather just stick it out with what we currently have.

I agree. I would rather see Whiteside getting some playing time and being developed this season than watch one of these left-overs play for the Kings. I can almost tell it is a lost season already without a significant shot-blocker impact player added to the roster, so why bother adding more insult.

yeah I agree, Whiteside needs experience. Kid looks like a wide eyed rookie every time he steps on the court.

I think both Fesenko and Haddadi are both still free agents. Are they playing in Europe, or hurt? They could probably be had for the minimum, if available, and would ensure some extra lane-blocking fouls. Any thoughts?

thought are Thompson and Hickson are more skilled than both of those guys Plus you got Whiteside, then can go small with outlaw and greene. adding another big at this point is redundant. unless its to replace one of the top 4 guys and those two can't replace them

Yep, I agree! It would be more for show than anything else. I could see the Kings taking a flyer on a young player with some promise, but on a vet that spent the bulk of his career sitting on the end of the bench as an emergency backup? I think not. People also have to think about how a particular player fits into what the Kings are trying to do this season. That player would have to brings some skills other than just being 7 feet tall.
