It probably doesn't help that the team has all but moved to Brooklyn already. Why would you still support a last place team that's going to be gone in two years? That's a tough position to be in as a player but hopefully better days are coming for them.

You do realize that the new stadium is going to be about 10 miles from where they are right now, right?

Yeah, I've looked at enough maps of New York to figure that out, but it still makes a difference doesn't it? There's a lot of Oakland A's fans who say they won't support the team any longer if they move to San Jose. The name on the jersey means something I suppose even if it is just symbolic.
