ESPN tidbit on Kevin Martin

Chad Ford reviewed the summer leagues via interviews with scouts and coaches. Among the gems was our Kevin Martin, about whom he said "After Martin's excellent summer league performance, have they found him (starting 2 guard)?

Martin was also awesome last summer, but he didn't score with this efficiency or with this accuracy (41 percent) from 3-point country. Though his relative lack of strength still makes him a defensive liability, he's an awesome scorer."

Probably a "B" grade or a bit better. He does stay in front of most he is guarding but will need to get stronger not to get pushed around in no-foul situations. Overall, Kevin has shown great improvement this summer and will see a lot more playing time.

I'm kind of hoping GP only makes a big move for a guard but instead guards the guards from trades and makes a move for a big.

I think Martin/Cisco should get the chance. Esp Martin. Upgrade the backcourt, build more next year.

Bonzi's too good to pass up if you can get him, but I certainly don't want to see the kids squished by some veteran roleplayer type brought in for "insurance".

I'll second that.
