Eric Bledsoe

Suns seems to be shopping Bledsoe now and plans to keep Knight. Well, if I were to link this with the recent non-lottery picks workout that Vlade has done, this could be 1 legit trade down that we'll do. Swap picks with Suns plus Bledsoe for DC/Landry.

Suns can save and get Winslow to fill a clear thin SG spot on their roster.
We get back DMC's Kentucky buddy and probably get a stretch 4 rookie(Dekker, Hezonja, Kaminsky) to open the lane for Bledsoe.
Bledsoe is an ideal guard for Karl's running game.

If they really want out of his large'ish contract (4 more years, $14 mil+ per), this is exactly the kind of trade that a #6 pick might be used to get veteran, solid help with.

It's THIS pat of the season where draft picks have the most value, because everyone inexplicably loses their damn minds over the promise of rookies, and discount the value of seasoned, proven vets.

I would definitely love this deal. However not sure moving up to #6 would be enough for them to take on Landry.

I'm a fan of Bledsoe....however, he has been injury prone as of late and just signed a hefty contract, I don't know if the Kings should make a trade and be tied up financially that much into three players.

No way they ship Bledsoe and the 13 AND eat the Landry contract. If anything they try to get our pick first without giving theirs up and ask for Collison. If they really want what is at 6, and we really want the 13 back, then its probably going to coast us the 6, Collison, and either Ben or Nik to get him with the 13.

13/Bledsoe for DC/Nik/6 is a deal id do all day if WCS is gone. We would be able to draft Lyles/Kaminsky or Payne at 13 while having 10mill availed in cap after waiving landry

Bledsoe/Ray
Ben
Gay
Cousins/Kiminsky
Koufus/JT

Sort of depends on what they want to do in PHX. As long as he does not get hurt, legit injury concerns, I think you have to consider the move. I also think the wiser move would be to push for the 13 too and dump a prospect. They would have to love what is at 6 and decide to do a full rebuild. I find it pretty likely PHX is considering tearing it down actually.

I'm not sure what it is that their tearing down. One could argue that the Suns are already involved in a rebuild, but need to add to the team, not take away. Bledose is one of their best players, and they only have two PG's. So why would they want to move him? They're going to have quite a bit of capspace to add some veterans, which is what they need because the team is very young right now
Eric Bledose - PG - 25 years old
Reggie Bullock - SG/SF - 24 years old
Archie Goodman - SG - 20 years old
Brandon Knight - PG - 23 years old
Alex Len - Center - 22 years old
Markieff Morris - PF/SF - 25 years old
Marcus Morris - PF/SF - 25 years old
T. J. Warren - SF - 21 years old
P. J. Tucker - SF - 30 years old.

These are all players under contract for next season. Do they really need to add more youth? They need some veteran leadership on the team, not another draft pick, and the last thing they need to do is get rid of one of their best players. Makes no sense.

He's do a lot of money. Maybe they worry about treadmill?

They've got all their picks too, a 2018 coming from Miami.

The west is pretty tough right now, is Bledsoe going to be their franchise guy?

I posted a thread on the Hornets as a potential trade down team we could be involved with but seeing the Suns pick at 13 and with Bledsoe being potentially on the trade block and with the Kings working out Kaminsky, Payne, Dekker and others who may fall into this range.....this could be a match.

Like that article linked above was mentioning, teams tend not to trade those top 5 picks, they have value and that is where stars are picked.....although we have done a poor job for the most part.

Pick at 6 and Ben/Nik and contract
for
Bledsoe and 13

PHX probably doesn't do it but....reportedly the Knicks want Bledsoe and other assets for the pick at 4. That big contract for Bledsoe does drive down his value but I'd love to see him paired with Collison and then we pick up a Kaminsky or Dekker or other player.

I hear Carl Landry can provide excellent veteran leadership :p At least... That's what we were told.

If Phoenix really loves someone in top six, I can see them doing a Bledsoe and #13 pick for #6 pick, Darren collison, nik stauskas and landry.

Kings can draft kaminski, Trey Lyle's or Turner or portis at #13

Should the kings do it if Phoenix demands Ben instead of nik?

Phoenix would send Bledsoe and #13 pick for #6 pick, collison, Ben Mac and landry.

Kings would draft kaminsky, Lyle, Turner or portis, or Payne or a shooting guard at #13.

Should we do it if Phoenix requires ben Mac instead of nik in the trade???

No. Ben is not a "throw in" player. We talk about losing talent for nothing and that's essentially what we would be doing if Ben is included. It just doesn't make sense to throw Ben into every trade. The 6th, plus Collison, Landry and Ben is worth more than Bledsoe by himself.

Why give away talent when you don't have to. If you give Phx Collison AND swap picks, that should suffice as far as talent for talent trade. Phx still gets a quality pg and a better 1st rnd pick. Landry for the salary match or what have you. I'm not a cap guy and don't care, so I'll let you all work that out.

Man it would be so awesome if we could come out with Bledsoe and then draft Kaminsky.
It will.

Cousins, Gay, Bledsoe, Collison, plus another player who is NBA-ready in 7-footer Kaminsky might be a good enough young core to move forward.

The only problem with this dream is - Kaminsky might be gone by the time we pick at 13.

Do Rudy Gay + Collison + Landry for Bledsoe and the Morris twins (not sure what happened with there court case) and we keep the 6th pick and take WCS. Use whatever money we got to either get a vet SF/SG or maybe do another deal where we package either Ben/Nik.
