[drupal=57]Driving a wagon with the wheels falling off[/drupal]
The Kings head into Dallas next, after finding new and creative ways to lose to teams that shouldn't have been able to win even with Donaghy officiating. It's like watching a western where the lead wagon has to try and ford the stream with a wheel missing. And it's LEAP DAY. I'm not sure, but I don't think that's known for being lucky.
We've lost to Atlanta, we've lost to Miami and somewhere along the line I think we've lost our pride.
Dallas is not the team to play when you're trying to regain some kind of team identity. And playing Dallas in Dallas is definitely not a good idea.
This was the year we were supposed to right the ship, regain an identity and turn things around, at least in little ways.
We haven't done any of those things. The team seems to be falling apart, Coach Theus seems to be sprouting gray hairs by the minute, and it just doesn't look like a team out there.
Maybe it's been some weird bug going around. Maybe the team we see take the court tomorrow will be the team of heart and hustle, energy and excitement. And maybe I'll wake up to see a forest full of money trees in my front yard.
The game discussion thread is here.
The PBP thread is here.
Anybody can be a fan of a winning team. I'm amazed so many of us are still around to talk about what is rapidly becoming a very disappointing team. I love the Kings but it's a little hard to keep up the enthusiasm right now.
But, nevertheless, GO KINGS!!!
