19 Action News In Cleveland, Ohio - Cavaliers forward Drew Gooden has been rumored to be on the block and yet again it appears he has been traded.

19 Actions News in Cleveland, Ohio reported on it's newscast last night that Gooden would be traded to the Los Angeles Clippers with guard Marko Jaric being signed and traded to Cleveland along with prehaps forward Chris Wilcox being included in the deal.

If Gooden is indeed traded, the Clippers would be his 4th team in as many seasons

Gooden for Jaric is a borderline bad deal for the Clippers. But Jaric AND Wilcox? Well, they are the Clippers. . .

If nothing else, this just reaffirms that the Clippers really think they have a stud on their hands in Livingston.

This move is totally Clippers.

Wow. Cleavland got their PG, and now they are officially a championship contender. Wow, what if the Kings had money liike that? WOW. :D

I wouldn't go that far.

I think Cleveland did fairly well considering what was available this offseason, but I'm not sure they've built a contender. A perennial playoff team yes, but I don't know if they can challenge the major powers of the East.

I think Miami, Detroit and Indiana are clearly better than they are. I think Chicago and New Jersey have a good chance of being better as well, if Chicago can keep its young bigs (or get something good for them) and New Jersey can stay relatively injury free.

I think Cleveland can now be better than Washington, and should easily make the playoffs, but I am waiting to see how the pieces mesh before I think of them as anything more than a first round playoff team.

Very good move by Cleveland. But two questions remain -- where does the shooting come from, and what sort of future does that team have with its freshly minted aging front line?
As an aside -- what position does Gooden play for the Clippers??

where will he play in la? he's definitely not starting over brand, he cant play the 3 cause i doubt that mobley will come off of the bench behing corey..... i guess they want to shorten brands minutes..... which wouldnt be a bad thing....

Brick...it doesn't plug a hole for the Clippers. They made the trade because they kept hearing that we had a hole at PF, which they tried to plug.

Livingston is a stud.... hes gonna be awesome, just watch!

I'm guessing this is the Clippers just being the Clippers again. Gooden can become a free agent following the season, so for all intents and purposes, he's a one year rental. Rather than pony up any cash to keep Jaric longterm, they just deal for an expiring contract and see if he can't contribute during his temporary stay.

Because the Clippers can't think they need a PF. If so, why throw Wilcox into the trade? He's more of a pure PF than Gooden ever will be, though he lacks Gooden's offensive skills especially ball handling and shooting.

My guess is that he'll pick up the scant minutes at PF that Brand doesn't take up and then back up the SF spot in certain matchups. The biggest knock on Gooden is that he's a tweener. Kiss of death for a starter, but not a bad sign for a bench player. Gives Dunleavy a little versatility. Still, I think Jaric and Wilcox (if indeed that's the deal) is much too stiff a price.

If Wilcox is going to be included, this is a real heist that the Cavs pulled off. Wilcox is/will be better than Gooden and they get a starting point guard as well.

Even if Wilcox isn't included, it's a bad deal for the Clippers to give Cleveland their starting point guard for next season and take back a power forward who they have no use for. Weird move.

Looking at the salaries these guys made last season, I'm not sure how they'd include Wilcox in this deal unless Jaric is signing a contract starting at less then $3 million.

Hey if having two PF's is going to be a problem for the clips. Sacramento can take Brand off there hands. You know just to help em out :)

The thought had occurred to me, but the onyl thing we ahve that they need would be Brad, and swapping out a 7'0 center for a 6'8" PF on a team full of minature PFs doesn;t strike me as a great step forward, even if that PF is better than the man he's replacing.

Of course given their apparent interest in Bonzo, and willingness to take on Gooden, who knows, maybe they just don't care about the positions of the people they pick up.

What about Thomas and skinner. It would give them a Pf and a C.. Plus its the clippers they always just give stuff away.

As much as I have confidence in Sterling's stupidity, I don't have THAT much confidence in Sterling's stupidity. ;)

Hey but if we could Kaman aswell he could break out this year. Kaman is pretty good center. A Kaman Brand trade for Miller would be good for the Kings

thats not gonna happen, 2 of their starters for our 1. Sterling aside Dunleavy would start throwing up some red flags.
