Drafting a Center

Drummond, Zeller, Leonard...what are your thoughts?

I remembered how DMC struggles against longer Cs like Hibbert, so why don't we pick a C and move DMC to PF? Drummond, Zeller, and Leonard, IMO are all mobile bigs which should be able to work with DMC.

My thoughts:
1.) If Drummond falls to our lap, we take him and go home.
2.) If he's gone, we trade down and trade with a team that will grab either Zeller or Leonard.
2.a.) Trade Salmons + 5th for Dudley+Lopez+13th
2.b.) Trade Salmons + 5th for Williams+Milicic+18th

I really like the 2 trades you are proposing, but I don't see why the Suns and the Wolves should consider them.

DMC's struggles with long, athletic shot blockers will improve with maturity and patience. Besides, many of the players he struggled with played PF anyway (Ibaka, Aldridge). Lastly, he doesn't seem to have problems matching up with Andrew Bynum or Dwight Howard, both of whom he has outplayed on more than one occasion. DMC is fine at the center position.

First off, just because we decide to call Cousins a PF, doesn't mean he won't be guarded by Hibbert anyway. The only choice we have, is who we decide to guard with Cousins. And to be honest, I'd rather have him guarding centers than chasing around little guys like Milsap. Of the three guys you listed, only two of them are athletic enough to guard PF's in the NBA, and really only one that I'm sure of, and thats Drummond. I think Leonard could guard most. He's an above average athlete. I don't think Zeller is quite athletic enough.

And i the only one disappointed that Drummond did not participate in drills today?

For a guy whose desire and motor is being question, I would have thought he would want to go out there and prove himself!

Bring him in and run whatever drills you want unless that blurb about people not wanting to come to Kings is the real problem.
Arnett Moultrie refusing to participate is much bigger surprise to me.

I really like Kyle O'quinn with 36th pick, he is a smart player wanting to do the dirty work. Good attitude and work ethic to put around Cuz.

Ya, Moultrie is an odd one. He really could have helped his stock alot by participating with his athleticism and skills. That guy could end up being a very good player.
