Jason=Webber..... close
Hawes=Miller.....better, but for sure
Nocioni=Peja?? same size maybe.
martin=Doug?? without the defense
beno.... needs to go

I do feel what you say he wants they glory days back in Sac, but for sure they are thinking about throwing in a twist, remember, we more than likely will be competing with Portland and Atlanta very soon as the premier young team.

Throw is Westbrook, we automatically become a playoff team, no doubt what so ever, and if Jason & Hawes become 15 & 10 players EACH... its over.
OK This sort of talk really has to stop.

First and foremost, Jason Thompson is no where near being close to Webber. He is a good young player who will have a long NBA career but a franchise player he is not, perennial all-star he is not and a boderline hall of famer he is not. Webber at the same age was a much much better player than Thompson. Can we get some reality please, the kid is good but he is no where near the caliber of player or leader that Webber was and he likely never will be.

Secondly, Martin is nothing like Christie. The only thing they have in common is that both are SG and are quick/athletic. Thats where the comparisons end. Martin is a better scorer but Christie was infinetly a better defender, passer and a leader. Martin is in no way like Christie. If anything, he is more comparable to Peja than any other King from the great years.

I think you guys missed the spirit of the post. It was meant to be a gereral, overall asessment. Not a true comparision of each player. Its about the peices fitting together properly. Lighten up a little..

I have a strange feeling OKC will somehow get the #1 pick, Griffin goes to OKC and its college ball fan base to the NBA and the thunder.

if thats the case, maybe we can put something together for Jeff Green?

We are gonna be the youngest team in the league after this offseason...especially after we trade Kenny/Beno/Maby Noc for young prospects.

who would want noc? his long contract concerns me...

but i wouldnt give up on the guy just yet his toughness and tenacity is what i want...

regarding griffin for westbrook? really tasty IF they are willing to trade for griffin westbrook and pick

The Celtics apparently wanted him but we wanted to keep him. He will likely improve his stocks as we are likely to rely on him more. Come the trade deadline I could see a contender being interested in him if we are interested in letting him go.

Blake and Garcia for Westbrook and Green is very interesting, both teams would have to listen. i think blake is too valuable to not keep. its not every day you draft a player with that kind of defensive rebounding ability. His value needs to be assessed before any trade can be made.

Straight Up? Nope I Thought It Was In The Means Of Draft Day Trades, We Need More Than Just Westbrook , Mods Please Change My Answer!

Even if we wanted to trade him, the Celtics have nothing to acquire him with. They'd have to gut their already thin bench.
