Leaves us thin at PG unless Conley or Collison come out. But otherwise, it's a good deal for us.

How are Elson, Barry, and Udrich's contracts? Are they manageable?

Okay, someone's going to have to 'splain to me. If we deal Bibby to another team on draft night, what guarantee does the other team have that Bibby won't opt out of his contract, if he doesn't want to play there? And if he can, isn't that too big a big risk for the other team?

Well, if I understand it correctly, the Wolves would be giving up a bunch of guys they've been trying to get rid of anyway.

They're main concern right now is making moves to prove to KG they are building toward something and with Bibby on board (who many have said would be the perfect pick-and-roll compliment to KG) it might be enough.

If it doesn't work and Bibby opts out, they're likely losing KG to FA too. (sooner or later, I don't know his contract.)

So you roll the dice on Bibby at the price of the number 10 ... and cross "the clean-up if it doesn't work" bridge when you get to it.

Really though, San Antonio gets nothing worthwhile out of the deal, other than helping two West foes get better.

This is why the deal is executed after the moratorium, after Bibby has/hasn't filed his papers.

If Hassell replaced Jaric would that work?

You'd have to ask Spurs fans, but I very much doubt it. Just switching one throw-in for another.

I don't think the Spurs are the best 3rd team for this trade. You'd probably have better luck with a team in the east.

Options have to be exercised by July 1. Draft day is June 28. In order to trade Bibby, they would need to have him waive his ETO prior to that date I believe.

I didn't miss it. I just don't think it's legal under the current CBA.
