Does history repeat ? Kings=Thunder

1. Paul Westphal was fired by the Sonics because he was unable to improve a young team with top lottery draft picks two years in a row. With a new coach and another top lottery pick, the Thunder is now one of the new up and coming teams.

2. Unable to build a new arena in Seattle and with interest in the team waning, the Sonics were moved to Oklahoma, where they now pack the stands.


I think it is time to look for a new coach. I hope the Maloofs won't move the team if we can't complete a new arena, but I fear they will.

Umm, as much as I hate Westphal, he was the coach of the Sonics in 2000, when they had Gary Payton and crew, not in 2008. PJ Carlisimo was the coach of the Thunder in 2008.

There is no repeat here regarding Kings and Thunder. Atleast I don't see it, Durant was expected to be a superstar even before the draft and that's what he eventually turned out to be. It also helps that Presti drafted very well and made some trades as in adding Maynor, Sefolosha and what not to the roster to compliment their superstar.
