I think it's appropriate for her to be thrilled - she thinks that the kings are better now, or at least have the ability to be better soon.
Not to mention, she was right - after all the mocking on this board, it turned out Petrie did want to trade Webb. I think a lot of people on this board owe Voisin, Chad Ford, etc. an apology. It turns out the people who get payed to do this stuff actually do know more than some random people hanging around on their computer - whadd'ya know?

You are assuming some interesting facts -- that Ailene knew what NOBODY else in Sacto did? Really? Given that nobody even talks to her?

Well its not even lucky -- I mean how long has she been agitating now? 2 years? 3? Whatever it is, obviously it was going to happen SOME day (well, unless Webb retired here), so all you have to do is keep on harping and one day you will be right. And then we jsut ignore the first 100 times you were wrong.

I am hereby predicting that the Cubs will win the world series. Adn if they don't, I'll just repredict it again next year. And one day I'll be a genius and say "I told you so".

Anyone remember that article she wrote earlier this year, praising Webber for "finally realizing his limitations and adapting." The key word in that article? "The Facilitator." I find this little bit of writing interesting in this moronic chat:

"If he were more of a facilitator, really willing to move the ball and involve his teammates offensively, the Kings would have been more effective."

I disagree. there were two popular positions: trade peja, or trade webber. As your own polls (and many comments) showed, many (maybe a majority) of people on this board wanted Peja gone, and/or thought he would soon be traded. These people were wrong - Voisin was right. Was she lucky - my point is that I don't think so. I think she knew more than you or me. All we see is what's on the floor - that's why when I discuss the webber trade, I talk about it in terms of rebounding, ball movemenet, etc. Admit that she know quite a bit more background stuff than you, and that your opinions about anything other than what you see on the floor are pure speculation, whereas her opinions are informed speculation. And that she was right.

Trading Webber was ALWAYS a possibiltiy, and it took no particular insight to see it happening.
