...ahead 1 hour? It is now 2 am, which means it is already 3 am, on Sunday March 8th. If you have not yet done so, set them now. ;)

I hate losing an hour sleep. I work on Sunday's and start to work at 6:00a.m., so needless to say, I am very very tired.

Yep.

But really, in today's age, there is really no need for changing clocks. Originally it was useful for companies when heating and lighting was expensive (you know, in the early 1900's). But with modern heating and AC and lighting, etc, it can actually increase costs.

Really, let's just pick a flipping time and stick with it. Enought with this archaism.

I love long summer nights, especially for sporting leagues. I also don't want to walk to the bus stop in pitch darkness in December, so I like switching.

And that begs the question...why don't people simply switch the starting time of events instead of requiring everyone to change their stupid clocks? That way, people wouldn't be impacted who didn't need to be impacted.

There's also the proven statistic that shows more accidents when the time changes, lost employee hours because of people who oversleep, etc.

I HATE DST!!!

I wonder if all our jobs would allow us to change our schedules to facilitate this? Probably not, which is why the time change was done.

I'm okay with the time change in general, but this was a lousy weekend to lose an hour.

Falling back can stay the way it is. I like that. But I think that in the spring, rather than losing an hour, we should gain 23 -- we could go to sleep on Saturday night and wake up on Saturday morning. :D

Idk why - but I just could not get to sleep last night! My clock was set ok, but I just could not sleep. But I'm not too tired now.

I'll sign that petition

I enjoy it much better. I don't care about losing an hour.
It's just a reminder...get motivated & get outside, be active.
You feel so much better & my winter lack luster blues go away;)
Daylight is a very fine time. Sports, lesuire, painting, photographers.
Peaceful & safe daylight savings.

I woke up at the time on my clock of 7 AM.

I thought it was Actually 8 AM

I went to work and it was actually 6 AM

I missed my break because instead of 11AM I thought it was 10 AM

I also stayed at work an hour longer than I had to.

I hate you daylight savings time, I hate you so much.

Did you all know that companies such as Kingsford (which has an interest in extending the hours of daylight so that we can barbecue longer) have lobbyists in Washington pushing for even crazier daylight savings time clock changes?

Didn't know that Government and big businesses controlled the time of day too did ya?

Of course big business is behind it, that doesn't mean it can't be mutually beneficial. People outside bbqing and playing sports are generally healthier and happier than people indoors watching tv.

I dunno. People playing outside will generally always play outside, and vice versa. Having an "extra hour" of daylight isn't necessarily going to encourage someone to take up tennis.
I'm against DST for the premise of 'energy conservation.' I agree with Warhawk's assessment of energy use. At the very least, could we move it back to April? It made much more sense then. As it is, I'm taking my son out to daycare while it's still dark outside, and he's having trouble sleeping because it's brighter than when he usually falls asleep.
