Denver over San Antonio?

Homer Fan Since 1985
Game #1 has been a great game. Very enjoyable to watch. I have been hoping for a Denver win because I like underdogs.

Denver is about to upset the Spurs at home. I love it. I'm telling you...the Championship is wide open this year.

Great win for Denver!! I think San Antonio may be in trouble!

Duncan does not look close to 100%. This is going to be a GREAT series, both teams are physical and really getting after it.

WOW!!!!

SA missed something like 18 straight shots, not scoring a FG until Horry finally hit a 3 with less than 30 sec left, Duncan looked horrible....

WOW

And 6th, I loved it too :D Except when I think...oh nevermind.

Huge win for Denver, now let's hope they don't get overconfident. Both Rasho and Duncan are suffering with ankle problems, and even though Nazr came up big tonight, the Nuggets locked down the Spurs on defense in the 4th. Impressive victory.

Duncan does not look healthy, not even close. 50% is probably where he is at right now.

If it stays that way, Denver will win this series easily.

Great win for the Nuggs, the spurs didn't look good, definitely not like a champion.

At a risk of sounding a bit homer-ish i'm gonna go ahead and say that Bulls - Wiz and SA - Nuggs so far are the most exciting series. Both were great games.

BTW, spurs fans suck, I thought the arena was pretty quiet all game...

Yay Nuggets!

I truly hope they beat the Spurs. I hate them all. I hate the team. And I hate the players.

GO NUGGETS!

oh damn, i might have to rethink my finals prediction ( which i can't *doh* LOL!)

spurs had a stretch in the 4th, 0-17. 0 for freaking 17 WOW!!!! that was crazy.

very intresting series this is going to be.

It just goes to show what a superstar like Duncan does for a team. The Spurs have been picked by many, all year, to win the championship. If Duncan is not healthy....it is not going to happen.

i agree...all the top teams liek the suns and spurs and heat..whenever key players go out..you always hear the commentators say.."oh well its b/c they dont have nash/duncan/o'neal, i havent heard them say that for the kings..they win when key players(plural)lol are not present and noone notices..or so its seems

WOW that score stunned me. I wasn't expecting this one.

Denver is a perfect example on how much coaching DOES matter. I am a Karl guy so its nice to see him putting things together. Denver is one of the hottest teams going into the playoffs and they just took game 1 against the team that is "SUPPOSED" to win it all.

Andre with 31. Wish I watched the game.

I could believe they actually pulled the game out in the end. I thought for sure the Spurs would come back and win annoying like by one point or something. Hopefully the Spurs will fall apart like they did last year against the Lakers.

This is great...Mavs lost, Spurs lost...now if we could just win a game!

Miller wasn't even doing a good job in the fourth.

Denver played good D and the Spurs offense folded like a cheap suit.

honestly what could be better. i gotta tell you guys i am loving these playoffs!! i was extremely happy that the "almighty" spurs lost on their homecourt and not really surprised. i predict some upsets in this first round and the rest of the playoffs. basketball is truly one of the best sports there is.

Not surprised here. Denver is red hot and too young to know they are long shot. Ya gotta love em. Spirs with out a healthy Duncan may not be able to win the series.

Charles Barkley was all over Tony Parker in the post game show about his lack of intensity showed being with the desperate housewife before the game. Funny stuff.

Oh, yeah, Sixy? Well I say that the power of his camelesque nose will put the Spurs over the top! His aerodynamic triangular nostrils will take in 27.8% more oxygen in the thin air of Denver than ordinary human noses. This will give him the energy to dominate the Nuggz at home and take the series back to SA with the lead. Just wait.

Thats the third time you have comments on his 'triangular nose'. You got a thing for it eh :D?

Yes! Gargy is apparently enamored with the Duncan nose. ;) :p

Hey, Austin, I got to agree with ya. There just may be some upsets. I hope your guys take out the Mavs. They are not looked upon highly around here. :p

BTW - WELCOME TO KINGSFANS.COM!!

6th thanx! i have been an observer on this site for some time now and finally decided to get registered. i enjoy reading all the posts you guys leave so decided maybe i could post too. really rootin for some underdogs (sixers, memphis, houston, njn, nugs and sac of course) that would be exciting.

go kings!!!

The earlier the Spurs are out, the more exciting the later rounds will be. I cannot stand to watch SA basketball. I will root against them all the way.

Didn't watch the game..but I'm actually rather glad that Denver put a scare into San Antonio and their fans..even with Duncan no where near healthy I would never think that that Nuggets team could go to the SBC center in game one and beat the Spurs...

btw I heard like Friday night or something that Duncan said he was about 70-75%...apparently not good enough...

Now what for the Spurs...heh

spurs are in trouble because i don't think they can win in denver

I'm rooting for the Nuggs, but there isn't a doubt in my mind that the Spurs can and will win in Denver. Playoff experience has to count for something in the end right? I still think the Spurs are the best team in the league, it's way too early to jump off the ship after 1 game.

I don't think they can be considered the best without their superstar. If Duncan stays at only about 70-75%, the Spurs could go down. And, I am not basing that solely on 1 game. Duncan missed quite a few games this year and the Spurs did not look like champions while he was out.

I'm both intrigued and repelled. The triangle camel nose is all-seeing, all-knowing, and at times, too powerful to be controlled.
