No game thread up, so I thought I'd start one. Tyreke and Thornton are starting, with Beno coming off the bench. Should be both exciting and interesting. Looks like Tyreke got the clearance yesterday to play more minutes.

I want to stomp Denver for no other reason than having to listen to their idiotic announcers on wednesday.

I assume and hope Beno gets lots of minutes. Anyone who has played so well as a starter for as long as he has is not complimented by being sat. I'm sure his coaches and teammates will make it a positive thing. And of course I'm hoping three man combo works well in whatever its configuration. They need Beno, they need Tyreke, they need Marcus.

I like it! Let's put it to the test tonight and see how we do. Our bench is solid now if one of Donte/Omri can show up along with Beno/JT. I'm hoping for a revenge game here, Denver has been 12-4 since the trade or something like that so they've been scoring with balance from all players. Stop Lawson's penetration, put Thornton on him and put Reke on Wilson Chandler. This is a winnable game and I expect a bounce back game from Cuz.

You sure? Read that Reke at the 3 with Beno and Marcus in the backcourt. Beno should come off the bench imo.

n/m misread.

Don't know who listened to Westy's interview with grant yesterday, but he made it clear the organization is focused on seeing how a tyreke/thornton backcourt would look going forward. I got the impression it will directly effect whether or not we draft a pg. If they close out the season well, tyreke/thornton might be the backcourt next year, and other positions will be addressed this summer, namely sf.

Looking forward to tonight though.

You know, we are playing this really well -- we are really movign the ball, nobody has been selfish, lots of good shots, and a lot of effort on defense. But Denver is playing it even better the other way. Feel bad for our guys to finallhy be getting it right, and then have a hot team do it even better the other way. Really well played game early both ways though.

I like the defense right now. Our perimeter defenders arent getting beat off the dribble at all so far .. That has been a big problem for us all year. Now, Afflaflo and Lawson arent the biggest threats attacking the rim, but its still good to see. Could be different when Chandler and Felton come in.

I hope Reke is ok. Could have been called a flagrant.

Every game he gets hacked without trips to the line.... Then people give him ish for pouting.

...Not that I'm a fan of pouting, but if Cuz was Griffin he'd get 8 FTs per game.

Busted lip on a non call last game, busted nose on a non call tonight. This is more about reputation than whats actually happening out there.

I'm telling you, we have some guys having a hard time knockling down shots, a few too manyhuloose turnvoers, but that was a VERY encouraging half. Everybody was moving and passing, very little selfish play. And that spirit went all through everybody who played. Made mistakes, but the spirit was perfect.

I must say though, Tyreke's vision is nowhere near what it needs to be if he wants to be a superstar. Good to see that we're still up despite a poorly played 2nd quarter.

When's the last time JT made a free throw?

Why am I not surprised Westphal didnt tell these guys what he wants them to do when Denver brings that double team? This is the NBA. We should be getting open looks everytime they do that.

Our interior D is as chucklesome as ever.... Seems like Denver has scored all their points in the paint this quarter.
