Demarcus cousins attitude..

The Kings were crushing the Lakers most of the night so complaints were going to naturally be lessened. Also the influence of all the Veteran Players added to the team should not be discounted. The there is the experience of the Coaching Staff adding their instructions on how to Win. There are a couple of guys in the Pregame show that know how winners act. One did a spendid job being the third wheel in the broadcast last night IMO. Lastly there is Vlade and his Front Office adding their influence.

That said Cousins has the same right to complain calls as the other Stars of the NBA. He just needs to let it not affect his game. IMO when the Refs make a bad call Coach Karl needs to be the one to get the Refs attention and take the heat for it.

Yes, moving on to the next play and not letting it disrupt his game to the point he stinks.
Boogie is the favorite of Mrs Calipari. He is not a bad guy as you know, the passion to win gets him. He also holds a grudge like no other. Boogie vs Drummond will be fun to watch.

He has a good rapport with the officials last night. On one play when he tipped in a ball he got fouled he was saying to the ref he never touch it. The ref said something back and Cuz gave a big smile.

When I saw the crew for the opener I knew it was going to be a long night. They never give him any calls. Cuz was shocked when he didn't get a foul call when Smith flopped.

As much as I love Boogie, he still is not a leader on the court, off it I'm sure he's fine. What he needs to learn, is to use that passion to ignite his teammates, not ruffle up the refs. The clippers game was down right pathetic, there's no excuse for it.

well considering they jumped to a big lead early versus the Lakers, everything was peaches and cream and he held it in check because they were winning. When they are losing is when it starts coming out.

He also lets the clippers into his head. Plays with the wrong kind of emotion against them for some reason.

I think that's dubious -- Boogie has has a number of DOMINANT games against that team's frontline. Now we haven't beat them as a team. But then again 75% of our team in any given year for the last decade has been composed of scrub, so what would you expect.

While I agree with you with the arguments, I don't think the best player has to be the leader. Players like Kobe have done more damage than good with it. LBJ is obsessed to be a leader and I'm not really sure it helps the team. On the other side, Duncan or Dwight Howard were never leaders etc. I'm seeing that Rudy is very quietly doing some real guiding of the other players. Again, not a fan of Rondo's behavior at all, but he may become a good leader. If he continues to play well, he might contribute in that department as well.

Having said all that, this is probably the first time that DMC is playing with a good team. Maybe that makes him want to become a leader. Then it is a very good deal for the Kings.

I just watched yesterday's game @clips once again. Regardless of how right he might be in his complaints to the referees, the day Boogie learns to master his rage and frustration for poor or biased officiating and channel that mental energy on his game, the Kings are going to run the whole thing to a 7th game in June. DMC has simply no natural opponent in this league, no specimen who's equipped in order to match him.
Read this forum, Boogie! Duck the refs and play you're game!

Winning fixes a lot of things.
Yes, but it takes a mentally strong team to win games. As long as he lets his frustration lead to bad decisions, his inability to remain composed and focused will contribute to his team losing more games, and thus him being even more unhappy. It seems to me that he's the guy who can hurt the team the most with the poor choices he makes, and can help his team the most with great play.

I'm glad someone sees it at least. The last couple of posts I've been stating how his attitude is detrimental to the team and I've been getting roasted for it...truth of the matter is, it leaves a stench and it does not motivate your team to play better when your best player acts the way he does. Until he keeps his emotions in check, I'm afraid DeMarcus won't experience too much winning in his career or at least not with his franchise.

I'll counter that argument.....Blake Griffin and Chris Paul, in particular Griffin, ***** and moan as much as anyone.....yet they win.

Sure, they both complain. What NBA player doesn't? Blake and Paul's are less aggressive as Cousins though, Cousins will go out of his way to let that take him out of his game and in result...hurt his teams chances of winning. Paul has great basketball IQ, he is annoying with his flopping and all that but he is one intelligent ball player and he uses that as a tool to get under his opponents skin, and it works.
