DeAndre Jordan

Uber athletic, rebounds, dunks, putbacks. Long and blocks shots. Very mobile for a big man. This year he has put up 7/7 and 1.7 blks in only 26 minutes a game. Sounds like a certain gentle Haitian giant doesn't it? Jordan is only 23 this season and will be a RFA. Maybe Whiteside will turn into this type of guy for us, maybe he won't. Jordan is many steps ahead of him in the "offensively limited mobile defensive force" type big.

We will have to pay a certain premium, but forsaking "veteran leadership" which is questionable with Dalembert anyways, I'd go with this big to shore up a 3 man rotation of Cousins, JT, Jordan.

Another factor is that Kaman still has another year left on his contract. Not sure if Blake is enough to open the purstrings of Sterling, but there is a higher than average chance that Jordan could leave. Also, it's the Clippers. :p

From everything I've read down here in La La land, the Clips are more interested in keeping Jordan, who they see as their center of the future, than they are Kaman. All the rumors flying around the Clippers are related to them wanting to make a deal for Kaman. I sincerely doubt that they'll just let Jordan walk without a battle. Anything is possible of course, and I would love to have him as Cousins backup. Don't know if he would care for the idea though.

Why would LAC let him go? He's a very talented center and could become a really good player for them

Short answer: It's the clippers!

I agree with everyone, slim to no chance. The only glimmer is somehow sterling screws it up, which past precedence has told us could happen.

You guys think Sterling would throw a 5 year 50-60 million contract at him?

he would be a good acquisition however i doubt the clips will let him walk. the reports say they are looking to move caveman so DJ can start permanently

Still pissed the Kings didn't make a run at drafting him being that the year he was drafted people were selling picks, and trading them for conditional future 2nd round picks.. Isn't that the year we took singletary and PEjr?

yeah that was the year.. our picks were later so we couldn't pick him. i'd like to see petrie get aggressive if he had 2 2nd rd picks to package them up to move up in the draft.

But that year a late first round pick went for cash =/ Didn't the Chalmers pick go for cash too? It's not like we couldn't have got a pick for a few hundred grand. Irritated the hell out of me that year. Didn't make it any better when we picked two players who weren't even supposed to get drafted.
