Dealing with the Bobcats

The Bobcats are overloaded at the Center position (Brezec, Ely, May, Okafor, Voskuhl) and are also looking to trade Brevin Knight.

In a trade, they mostly are looking for Veteran leadership and now that MJ's taken over I think they'd be pressing to fill that gap even more.

It seems that we have what they want and vice-versa. But the key is who do we trade? Probably Bonzi or Miller?

Perhaps, but they also have alot of cap room and probably consider Okafor and May to be PFs rather than Centers.

I'm really interested to see who they end up drafting, first. Apparently Jordan will have a lot of say in the decision (great, considering his brilliant choice of Kwame) and is torn between Gay or Morrison.

I think I draft whichever guy Jordan DOESN'T want. He was an ok player, but left just a tad top be desired as a GM.

The Hornets are building for the future, and probably the only players who would interest them are Garcia and Martin.

Sure Bonzi but no way Miller. I am a big Miller guy but don't expect teams to come knocking on our door to see an encore performance. Millers best/highest trade value from here on out will be about a year or two from now after he has to play for a coach that demands he actually plays defense.

Ely is a FA this off-season, and with May/Okafor/Brezec being their key bigs for the future, I think they let him go. I think he'd be a nice option for a big, can play both PF/C. Not a top 3 one, but a 5-8 type of big man option out there.

Voshkul is also an FA, he's similar to Jeff Foster only he has a consistent jump shot. I wouldn't mind getting him either. Never really thought about him much, but remember him playing well for the 'Cats. Obviously not a top option, but a decent big, who would be cheap. I think he'd be a solid option off the bench if Brad's gone.

That is where I choose to disagree. I think you shouldn't be told to play a certain part of the game if you are a professional. He had his chance to prove what he can do defensively. What you see is what you get with Brad Miller. I think a coach with great defensive schemes could only maximize Brad a little more. Not worth the time IMO. Some teams have a PF to make up for his lack of athleticism. I think we should trade him if possible.

Tend to agree ^.

Voshkul/Elson/Griffin (possibly)/TT all can shoot the J, and would bring defense, rebounding, hustle. Excluding TT from the latter, but would bring emotional energy.

I KNOW it does not look this way but the Kings have a lot of bigs on contract:
Miller, SAR, Kenny, Samson, Potato... and unfortuantly BEFORE they can bring any more in they have to move some out. Most likely scenario would be trading with Charlot or another young team looking to add experience, but unless the Cats are offering up Oakafer the Kings need to be carefull.

I expect 3/4 or 2/4 of our FC now to be gone and upgrades with what we need added. There is little compliments in there, little athleticism and defense.

SAR I think is the most certain to stay. Maybe Brad, rest are uncertainities.
