You make the call? Make your PREDICTIONS here, not what you want, but what you THINK WILL happen.

Who goes? And for what?

I'll go first.

I think Petrie moves Ron Artest WITH Kenny Thomas

for......................

Nene/Najera/1st round pick

Is this a prediction game? Because while I think it's reasonable and actually agree with you on this one, I think Artest/Thomas for Nene/Najera/1st makes too much sense for the Kings to really happen. We're just not that lucky.

I cant see us getting Najera. Hes not a fan favorite to say the least.

I voted no-one...Because I'm a realist.

Actually wouldnt mind Petrie 'waiting and seeing' on this one if everyone just offers crap for Ron (or Bibs).

As long as we dont end up with Nene....Dear god. The Kings wouldnt be good til 2012 if we got stuck with THAT contract.

Id rather have him than Thomas...

I think Petrie is determined to move Artest, but what for is anyone's guess. My guess he's willing to trade him for very little just to get him off the team.

Just a reminder: We have like 40 gabillion trade threads. It'd be nice to see this one stay ON topic just to differentiate it from all the rest.

The OP wants to know IF you think the Kings WILL make a deal, and if so for whom. It's more of a prediction thread than another debate about who SHOULD be traded for whom.

if the mavs get kidd i would like to see the spurs make a deal for artest... maybe barry/udoka/splitter for artest...

that or with the nuggets they are another borderline team that could use ron in the playoffs... especially with the rumor that they are interested in randolf... they really wouldnt need nene with zach in town...

IF someone were to be traded, Ron would be the obvious candidate. But trading anyone wouldn't be consistent with our pattern of the last few years, so I voted for no trade based on that alone.

I'm for Noone. He has a great jumper. :D

Call me pessimistic. I don't think anything's going to happen. I wish it would, but I think there are too many other teams making deals, and for some reason, we're not a part of it. Of course, it could always be GP being GP and not letting anything out until it's a done deal.

I voted no one because I am also a realist. As much as i have loved watching/listening/reading to everything about the blockbuster trades that have gone done n wanted the kings to get in the mix some how, i just dont see it happening. Im keeping my fingers crossed but im banking on the side of no moves made.....

There's a lot of talk about trading Artest. Kinda reminds me of all the Peja trades we heard before Webber got traded. So I think Bibby finally gets traded, maybe to Cleveland for Gibson, Wesley, and others

I would love to see a deal to get Gibson from Cleveland, but right now he is playing just as good if not better than Bibby so unless Cleveland just really wants the experience I don't see how trading DG + others for Bibby makes much sense.

I do see Artest being moved, although I don't see it being for expiring contracts only because if that was the case why not just keep Artest and let him walk and at least try to make the playoff's. I think if we can bring back a good young talent and or a pick plus a couple expiring contracts it would be worth it. As much as I'd like to see the Kings make the playoff's this year as deep as the west is I'd almost rather dump Bibby and artest and try to get younger and get some building blocks to go along side Kmart and Spencer.

My guess is that right now Petrie is working hard on not only trading Artest, but also getting KT's contract to go away in the same deal. But I doubt he'll find anybody willing to take on KT's money in exchange for a stretch run of Artest followed by Ron opting out. However, I think there are teams out there willing to part with some sort of value in order to get Artest, and once Petrie realizes that he won't be able to use Ron to get rid of KT, he'll pull the trigger on another deal rather than let Ron walk for nothing.

The destination that makes most sense to me is Denver, with Najera and a first rounder being the main part of the package coming back. Whether Kleiza is included will probably depend on how loud Carmelo is about wanting Artest. If we do get Kleiza, I think we should try to flip him to the East for a future draft pick, since he doesn't really provide us with what we need.

But with or without Kleiza, my best guess is that Artest will be a Nugget at the deadline.
