Yes, I really like Jason and Deuce. Sorry they're losing their jobs. So I can't really be happy about this.

Yeah I liked their show as well. I actually broke my habit of listening to music while working. Now since they have a solid block of awful radio from 9 to 3, I'm going back to music full time. Probably won't even turn on Grant at 3 pm. He gets too many idiot callers on his show. I stopped listening regularly to Grant about 10 years ago.

You have to wonder who is making these decisions? Jim Rome's act expired years ago and Geronimo should have stayed in DC. Not surprised, it's CBS. The same outfit that gives up CBS13 and their sad news programming.

I agree. I first heard him at around age 15-16 when he called into radio station often to give his take on Kings rap. Who can forget that voice even back then as a teenager. Later of course in his mid-20s he got a gig at the station and now in his mid-30s one would hope he'll soon actually grow up. I don't hear lot of evolving maturity and his time as on-air side-kick to idiot Geronimo didn't help. But his efforts in keeping Kings in Sactown are laudatory.

That's some national syndicated sports DJ that starts at 7 (whenever they dont have Kings, Sharks or A's games on). I never listen past 7 anymore and wish they had someone who could come on and talk about local sports after Grant's show, but alas...

Totally agree. Hate Geronimo. When the Rise Guys left, I quite listening to KHTK in the morning. Don't like Rome either.

Agreed, which is why I really liked Dave after 7 pm than Dave before 9 am. They were trying to hard to be shock jocks in the morning with Don and if I want to listen to that, I'll listen to RAD.

Rise Guys left to go to SF, they are on 560 I think in the morning. Just Whitey and Kreidler. Phantom did not get invited to go. He stayed and they moved Don to the morning and put Phantom and CD with him. Then Don proceeded to do the same stupid bits he has done since the mid 90's with Mike O'meara. It was moderately funny then, 15-20 years later not so much. CD will be great in the morning. I just googled Keith Brooks, I have no idea who he is. He looks like an idiot, so I am assuming he is one. I listened to a bit of CDnet this morning while I had time and Dave lobbied to bring Sean Thomas with him, but that is still in the works I guess.

I am assuming that 1140 wanted some "radio guy" which is why this Keith Brooks is involved. Hopefully it's not a disaster for CD.

It really doesn't matter because Rob Arnie and Dawn crush the AM ratings with like a 3-1 share over the next closest. He will also compete with Armstrong and Getty, who I think is number 2.

I think the station works better when is not 24/7 Kings talk. Jim Rome doesn't bring listeners or ratings. What he does bring to CBSSports is a selling point for national advertisers. "Hey, we've got a nationally syndicated show on in x number of markets and that means much larger exposure"... The dirty little secret they're hiding is that exposure doesn't necessarily mean listeners.

Yeah I understand why things happen the way the did. I'm just saying as a fan listening, I would much rather hear JRoss and Deuce over Don. I get it that Don pulls ratings and that's why he stays, I just don't get the appeal.

The thing is that Dave is much better when he's not tied to local sports talk. I hope the morning spot works for him though. I just felt his show was at its best in the evening.

Very true overall but I for one can't wait to start listening to Dave again after all we have endured a return of the CMD show in the morning is a real blessing for Kings fans. I have been a loyal listener since he would have Ron Artest on his night show until the M#####FS got him out of there.

Syndicated shows do a lot worse than local shows for some reason. I try not to give Jim Rome any of my ratings through my little Arbitron thingy I wear.

iPhone5 + Pandora + Tune In Radio = Happy Gary when driving. I can listen to pretty much any station I want to music, or talk.

BEST investment ever was my iPhone5. I never really was interested in phones until I took the plunge and got the iPhone 5 (after many years on the blackjack, and blackberry I got a hand-me-down iPhone 3). That hand-me-down iPhone3 was totally awesome. I found so many apps that I couldn't run because the apple OS was not able to go higher than OS-5. So I got the iPhone5 and now I get to play with any of those apps. I am stuck to my phone now 24/7.
