No. I'm just saying we eliminated the possibility of doing so around the draft.
It's actions like that the players respect and remember - and it's something free agents talk about when they're considering various options. Teams who respect their players and treat them accordingly are often given the nod when their record would dictate otherwise...
Agree with this, which is why I had supported us releasing Sergei, Songalia and Price. Even in Miki's case, I'm sure the gesture shall be appreciated by him and other players/agents, and might end up having more positive impact, than keeping him around till the draft and then waiving him.
Just pointing out that we did lose a potential opportunity, and it might be a sign that we weren't planning to use it anyway, an indication of cost-cutting extending into next season.
