Bonzi Wells lofted an alley-oop pass toward Peja Stojakovic, who clearly had no intention of going up to get it. Stojakovic somehow saved the wild throw, flipping it back to Wells -- who dropped it out of bounds. The Sacramento Kings are still getting to know each other, but both Stojakovic and Wells could afford to laugh. Their blooper-reel folly was just about the only miscommunication in a smooth 103-82 victory over the Milwaukee Bucks on Friday night.
"I thought he pointed up (at the basket), like, 'Throw it,'" Wells said with a grin and a shrug. "Maybe I was seeing things."
"I was pointing at the floor. Bounce pass," Stojakovic cracked.
"That's the first time in seven years I've ever seen anybody throw Peja an alley-oop," coach Rick Adelman said of his ground-bound Serbian shooter.
