That's the way I feel, although I adore Yo. Its a bit hard to watch her work so hard, but just not able to make the body do what she wants it to.

Also, there was no LL to vote for this year.

Yes, it was a rep vote. Good for her. She has led this team to the past 2 Western Conf Championships and the 2005 WNBA Championship.

Not just a rep. vote but the thousands of fans all around the league, that love ''Yo's'' game, her heart and most of all leadership. I for one voted for her every day & at the season ticket event at Arden...myself & posse fans sat at a table in the California cafe....& voted Monarch's.
Yo may not be the player she once was, but she's out there every game giving all she can to help this team win.
I also was encouraged to hear Carolyn Peck give major props to Brunson...
Lets hope the coaches add her to the team, she deserves it, with the great season so far.

Congrats to Yo! Granted, her numbers this season are lower than previous years. But she's a warrior and highly respected by her peers, so I'm sure there won't be animosity. And besides, it's a nice sentimental gesture for a player who probably will be in her last All-Star Game.

Yes, it probably is her last year and there's nothing wrong with her being honored for an incredible career. Warrior queen is what Yo always seems to me. If I needed someone to follow in desperate times, Yo would be high on my list. Her refusal to concede anything is game-changing, to me.
