I still wish the NBA had a complete minor league system. That way we could keep and develop players like Ricky then move them up when needed.
 
Glad to hear that he was the #1 pick. If he plays well, that bodes well for being picked up by an NBA team sometime during the season if they have injury problems.

where did this guy go? I was reading bout Kevin Martin and i forgot about Ricky M. he was the #1 pick in the nbdl league what happened? europe? he played for the bulls for a bit... got some time ? figure out what happened...
 
Went to Italy or Spain, came back this past year and got on the Pacers summer league team. Don't know what else since.

But seriously, I don't think Minard is really going places in the NBA. I remember when we drafted him that some people were making Ricky vs. Martin arguments, now that just seems kind of funny.
 
I just thought of a kind of fun/funny idea. Why not an "old thread of the day" post. Someone can dig up a thread from way back and it would be kind of interesting to look back at it. :D
