Listening to how they're talking about Joel Embiid during this broadcast is my reminder that Embiid was basically one really good season away from being DeMarcus Cousins.
I love these Emirates Cup games because the point differential rule means that these coaches never take their foot off the gas... You don't know if they can beat the other guy by 50 points, but you know they're going to try.

Boxing stance and pushing everyone in sight is a tad dramatic.
Anyway, I'm not even arguing about Drummond staying in the game... Simply that Suggs' ejection was pointless because he ran in to push Drummond after the refs had already got between them. The threat level was 0 at that point

that's been the motto for the entire existence of the franchise though, hasn't it? no patience for youth development, not to say that most former Kings draft picks have gone on to succeed elsewhere but its been ever more evident under the Vivek regime
