Yes Peja was open, he took one dribble to get away from the defender and kinda faded to the left but there was no hand in his face. I was disappointed that he missed.
When he got the ball in his hands with 1.5 seconds left, at least Peja didn't pass the ball.

I am late into this thread but my thoughts on that shot.

Peja DEMANDED the ball, He created his shot (well Francis kinda helped by looking the other way)

I have no problem with Peja taking the last shot during that game.

no problem at all ...

just don't force the shot ... and pass the ball to one of those three ... da one whos more open than others ... and let it fly

Sure, Peja's not clutch... but that particular miss was not a choke. That was a decent shot, it just didn't fall; it's not like he bricked it. Peja is an awesome shooter when he goes through his regular motion but he struggles when he rushes it. He didn't know how much time he had and rushed it while fading away, and that's the result. I have no problem with our best shooting taking that shot at the end, he's got to learn to hit those at some point in his career.

Excellent point. And I think he will start hitting them.

I'm just glad he wanted it and took the shot with no hesitation, it almost went in. It was a step foward I think.
