Christmas Game: Heat vs. Lakers... Why? (merged)

When you say "battling", do you mean Wade playing team basketball (and Wade's team completely dominating all aspects of the game) and Kobe taking around 40 to 50 low percentage shots?

No, of course not.

I mean it in the general way. As in both star players playing great and competitive versus one another (being a/the main focus) in a big match-up in a wild atmosphere.

Just like they did in X-mas 2004 game, X-Mas 2005 game, 1/16/2006 game. I enjoyed them all a bunch, and I'm definitely into watching more between them. As it'll be for some more years.

Wins championships?(without Kobe ;))

I think Alonzo did a better job than Shaq. Who was the one sitting out the crucial minutes in the 4th quarter? Didn't he sit out an entire 4th during the finals?
I still would make the decision to keep Kobe over Shaq, but I won't get into that...again.:)

Tony Parker and Gerald Wallace are 3rd and 4th in FG% in the league and are first and second if we considered only the guards.

Dwayne Wade 49.5% and Kobe 45%
Incidentally Mike Bibby is at 43.2% and a so called sharp shooter Sam Cassell is at 44.3% and incidentally Kevin Martin is at 48%.

When the suns played it seemed like Eddie House couldnt miss a shot but he is at 42.2%. Brent Barry's only job on the spurs team is to hot the open shots that are created by Dunan / Parker and Manu and his FG% is 45.2

Wade's team completely dominating all aspects of the game was true in the playoffs in the games that they won, but during the regular season they split the games against the lakers i suppose and even during the playoffs when they played the bulls they didnt look like a team dominating a series, they scraped their way through as championship teams do.

The only teams that I have seen dominating a season or the playoffs are the bulls that won 72 games and the lakers team that went 15-1 in the playoffs.

But I suppose everyone has their own opinion even though stats say something and if I were to go by FG% as a yard stick then Kevin Martin should take all the shots that Bibby is taking

I remember at one point in the playoffs there was definitely some mojo going on between Wade and Shaq that was really fun to watch and kinda reminded me of the Kobe/Shaq thing (but it was funner cause it wasn't the lakers;) ).
