Package deal Doug and Jackie Christie are off to Florida, leaving Kings fans wanting for ... romance? That depends on your sap threshold when it comes to this power couple. Here are five things that we will miss about them, plus a few personal things you might not know about Christie's replacement, Cuttino Mobley.



What we'll miss

1. Deciphering Doug's obsessive-compulsive, on-court sign language to his beloved Jackie.

2. Decoding Doug's walking tattoo gallery.

3. Living vicariously through the couple's annual romantic/sappy wedding-vow renewal.

4. The Jackie-Doug tunnel exit.

5. Our chance to see Sacramento on TV via the Christies' forthcoming VH1 reality show.



Cuttino Mobley: Water-cooler trivia

1. He knows former "Sex and the City" actress Kim Cattrall really well.

2. Pals who might visit him here: Justin Timberlake, P. Diddy and Star Jones.

3. He's been on the fashion runway as a model and told the Houston Chronicle he wants to be a movie star.

4. MTV's "Cribs" came calling when he played for the Houston Rockets.

5. His biggest loves are shoes and Jennifer Lopez. In that order.

As if this matters...sigh...


But it does give you a smile if you've seen how many times Cat refers to his son in his interviews since coming to the Kings...speculation was hightened with Franchise's comments on the trade giving him "no reason to get up in the morning anymore".

Also explains the Sacbee's Talking Points Forum reference to Mobley being more "Miranda" than Kim Catrall.

The character who played Miranda in "Sex and The City" was purportedly "outed" as being a lesbian recently in the NYPost.

Man...this is too boring to continue with...

Who freakin' cares about this stuff if the guy executes on the basketball court?

Yeah, I know it matters to Neanderthals but do Neanderthals matter to anyone else?

Damn, this is a darn near cult movie in Chinese-American circles in Sac (at least if you're related to one of the "stars"). Which character was she? I can't believe I don't know this already from the number of times I've been forced to watch this movie!!!!!

Green eyed girl of course. Well, green eye girl #2. Newspaper reporter etc. There were only 2 or 3 female characters that I remember, and only 1 was caucasian, so not too hard to spot. :)
