Warriors Waive Chris Taft
Forward Played One Season With Golden State

The Golden State Warriors have waived forward Chris Taft, Executive Vice President of Basketball Operations Chris Mullin announced today. Taft was originally selected by the Warriors in the second round (42nd overall) of the 2005 NBA Draft. As a rookie in 2005-06, he appeared in 17 games, averaging 2.8 points and 2.1 rebounds in 8.5 minutes per contest. He did not appear in any of the team’s 2006 preseason games due to muscular inflammation.

What does anyone think of this guy?

He was a projected lottery pick before his stock plummeted because of his lack of a work ethic.

He's coming off an injury, but I think if we could snag him he could pay down the road...Who knows, maybe getting cut woke him up a little?

And maybe Geoff could learn to use the NBDL system, and send him down there...I mean, it couldn't hurt.

Taft has potential, however he has a serious back problem. Couple that with a suspect work ethic, and I'm not sure he's the guy we want.

He's not a bad player, but yea we really arent looking for a guy like him. I think we need a Samuel Dalembert/Nazr Mohammed kinda player. One who can block and rebound.

We had a chance to get Nazr in the offseason cuz he was a free agent... he would of definitely helped the team. I don't know why we didn't go after him maybe he wanted too much money.

As Bobby would say, "most definitely."

hell no.... he's got injury problems... and well he's probably just another jamal sampson (which would be ok if he developed)..

i know im high on douby and i know this is a lil off topic.. but im kinda still upset that we didnt draft marcus williams... he's totally killing it this preason... his shot looks good, his passing well...

really like this kid...

I think we should of gotten marcus williams too. He is real quick and is a true point guard.

ESPN also thought we should of gotten Marcus or Rajon Rondo and put quincy on the ugly on this article
