CBS Article: Ten things to know about the insanely thrilling and frustrating Kings

It was not used correctly in Cleveland either. Yet those players found a way to execute and not point fingers and to handle their business. A team that has had 2 Team USA camp invites and then a former All Star in Rondo should never be this bad. It falls on their inability to produce when it matters. The coach isn't giving up 30/40 point first quarters.
So you're argument is that they should win in spite of Karl? Maybe, instead they could just get a coach that makes the most of their talent?

Well in fact the coaching is giving up those 30/40 point first quarters. Because too fast of a pace and not enough pressure on three point shooters due to the scheme. IMO Karl needs to slow the game down and preach perimeter D!

The amount of excuses being made defending the players are insane. You could get any coach for this team and the team will still find ways to mess things up and not produce. DeMarcus may have all the talent in the world, but he will never be the main ingredient on a winning/contending team.

This is like when you explained everything to someone, then showed him the evidence, and he still doesn't buy it.

I didn't read the complete article. Just the first six points. What I read is pretty much spot on. Malone's opinion on DMC taking the three point shot is interesting.

Since you used an absolute, care to provide evidence as to how you know that to be a fact?

You mean kinda like how Bricklayer has layed things out time and time again for all the DeMarcus naysayers yet they still can't grasp it?

You trade Demarcus Cousins to watch him take a team deep in the playoffs and/or win a championship, and we would be the laughing stock again as well.
Not saying we should trade DMC but the Grizzlies made the playoffs for ages after shipping a HOF big in Pau Gasol for Kwame and a 2nd rounder which turned into a All Star in Marc while Pau went onto win titles. They got to a point where they always made the first round (when the West was loaded we can't even win 30 games) but realised Pau had to be a #2 to eventually win and they had to build in a different way.

That trade only worked out because they only somehow made out with Marc Gasol, who nobody thought would be good. Seriously, listen to the GM of the Grizz after that trade. The player they were most excited about in that trade was Javaris Crittenton. Yes, the guy that was out of the league shortly after and then killed a man. He was also quite excited about Kwame "Hands like frying Pans" Brown. Marc Gasol was filler. I doubt we'd be so lucky.

Kings are 21-28, yet it's "all" the coaches fault lol
Have you watched the games? Have you seen the abysmal game plans? More often than not, the coach has had a major impact on the outcome of the game.

Is it always his fault? Nope, especially when our shooters can't hit water from a boat and the guys at the free throw line look like 4-year-olds.

This ain't our first rodeo around here. You're gonna have to bring more than weak sauce throwaway comments. :)

We are seeing some teams in the NBA winning regardless of who is the coach. Blatt was a horrible fit in Cleveland, yet they were able to win 75% of their games. The Kings do not have as much talent as the Cavs. But the talent on this team should never be below .500, regardless who is coaching.
The talent on this team has only been together since training camp. To proclaim they should be able to magically become a .500+ team despite irregular coaching (I"m being kind here) is just delusional.

No, what's insane is not looking at the big picture and realizing the effect poor or ineffective coaching can have on a group of players thrown together at the beginning of the season who are trying to learn about each other AND how their coach wants them to play the game.

If I saw signs that the pieces are there, the strategy is there, but they just need more time to gel it would be different. But I'm not really seeing that. The defensive strategy is horrible, and our defense overall isn't trending up. If this was just a gelling issue, we would see gradual improvement. Instead, we're starting to see stagnant or declining performance on the defensive end. I'd take Blatt in a HEARTBEAT. I'd also take Thibs, even if he might not vibe with Cousins well at first.

In today's high paced fast offense you need a coach that can prove he can scheme defensively fori t. Karl's teams have always ranked near the bottom defensively. You might think that defense isn't as important in today's high scoring world, but it's quite the opposite imo. All the NBA champions over the last 5 years have ranked top 5 defensively.

We'd need to get quite a haul back since our draft pick situation is pretty murky.

I call bullcrap! Talent wise this roster is significantly better than any other roster we had in the last 10 years and they are on pace to win 30 games. This roster has a number of players who are average or above average defensively yet the scheme that the coach is pushing is making EVERYONE look like a terrible defender. Collison has been known throughout his career as a solid defender. Koufos has been known as a very good defender. Yet all those guys look below average. You look at the players' career before they got here and they have all been better than they are this season. That is on the coach and his scheme.

When you have above average defenders in your big guys, you should absolutely be at least middle of the pack defensively yet our senile coach is daring teams to shoot wide open corner 3s. Pace that he is pushing doesn't allow this roster to be a very good defensive team because they cannot defend in transition. Slower pace allows you to get back and set your defence, improving your chances defensively.

Just think about this for a second. Michael Malone had the starting line up of Cousins, JT, Gay, McLemore and Collison statistically as the best defensive staring five in the entire league last year. WCS is a much better defender than JT yet we cannot defend a chair.

As for your Cousins tripe, it doesn't event warrant a reesponse!
