good for the Cavs though...they played hard im sure
i think the Spurs have been a little sluggish coming back from the allstar break...i mean they nearly lose in a close game to the Rockets then they lose to the Grizz and then they nearly lose again to the Cavs
i don't know whats going on with them...but im liking it...lol

the only way he can award three points is if it's basket interference.from the express-news
He also might have become the first player in NBA history to tip in a 3-pointer. For the opposing team.
With the Spurs leading 92-87, McInnis hoisted a 24-foot shot that appeared to fall a couple inches short of the rim. Duncan tried to pluck the ball out of the air only to watch it bounce off his fingers and through the rim.
Official Jack Nies awarded the Cavaliers three points.
"From what I understand it should have been two points," Duncan said. "It was just retarded, a bad move on my part."
5 d. A field goal accidentally scored in an opponent's basket shall be added to the opponent's score, credited to the opposing player nearest the shooter and mentioned in a footnote.
11. PENALTY: If the violation is at the opponent's basket, the offended team is awarded two points, if the attempt is from the two point zone and three points if it is from the three point zone.

i'm probably more excited than any of you. spurs play poorly and win two games, almost win a third. just kidding. not about the wins, but about being excited.
Dave McNulla said:with about 20 seconds left, mcinnis took a three point shot that was an airball. airball as in it was short, short as in the ball was below the level of the rim while being between the rim and jeff. tim duncan was trying to grab the ball, and mistakenly tipped it up and in. the officials called it goal-tending and counted it as a three point basket. without that, there is no tie at the end.
fortunately, tim hit his shot and the mysteriously bad call falls off the face of the earth.

you got that right. they get the other call right (espn, noted spur haters, laughed at the bad call), and the spurs don't need the game winning shot.4cwebb said:I'm on board with the goal-tending mistake. Clearly a blown call. How 'bout Duncan shoving down McInnis on the pick and roll to free himself though? I think he got suspended for a game for shoving a referee with the same move, and it goes as a no call on the last play. Retribution in the eyes of a Spurs' fan, I'm sure.

the officiating was very inconsistant all night. as usual.
yes, stephen a. smith spent years ridiculing drob and saying he was robbing the spurs for his paycheck, then exclaimed that rasho could never fill his shoes when he retired.4cwebb said:I haven't had access to espn in about 6 months, but since when did they become haters of the Spurs? Does anyone hate the Spurs in the national media? Is it possible that the fans of any team feel that the team they are cheering for is persecuted?

Btw, could Timmy D show any less emotion when hitting a game winner?![]()
