What if he somehow gaved him a option to play for 1 year with us, and if things go well next year we'll sign you can that happen? i just don't want Bonzi to leave he was so important to this team i just wish we can make him stay :(

only way to convince Bonzi is alotta $$$ but dont have much left

I think, his agent should tell Bonzi to prove himself next year until he gets the contract he wants, can't we give him a 1 year option without actually signing him?

That makes no sense.

I'm just throwing out ideas, we still have our LLE left right? let's sign him with LLE for a 1 year option then once he proves his worth next year we'll work things out.

Theoretically, if Bonzi wanted a big contract the best thing he could do is sign with us for a year at whatever we'd pay him so we could s&t him next season as we'd still have his Bird rights.

This is never going to happen. The Kings made the decision to move on and Bonzi probably wouldn't want to risk getting injured on a short term low dollar deal. Bonzi's gone, move on.

why would bonzi want to do that? what if we screw him over? what if he gets injured?

Because it's his best chance to prove his worth Jerry, if he had his worth right now someone would've snatch him up with the big contract demand hes asking. the game is about injuries but you never think about that it will either happen or it won't. it's a risk for Bonzi but its a opportunity to showcase his worth.

i agree with JJ22L, Bonzi's gone. he's a known quantity, he doesn't need to prove his worth; the reason no one threw big bucks at him this season is because no one could afford to.

every guy in the NBA thinks about injuries, and that's why they go for multiyear contracts (at least the guys with talent, anyway).

Okay, at this point I'm just going to close this thread because this topic is already pages and pages long in TWO other threads.
