Dang! Still can't believe we got Whiteside and Cousins.

Funny to think that come draft lottery night we have been disappointed the past two years. Then come the past two drafts and we have done great. Kind of a blessing in disguise, I guess.
 
I agree on paper this looks like an amazing draft for us... Dalambert is there to mentor Whiteside... Whiteside was taken as a prospect pick #3 in order terms of Centers... Given basically this year to develope...

Doubt we hold on to Dally... wow i'm stunned

bajaden and a couple of other guys knows how much I like Whiteside's potential. I would've been content with picking him at the #10-15 if we traded down. Now we got him in the 2nd round!!!!!!


Funny thing is as I was leaving work at around 27th pick and Whiteside still available, I said to my friend that it would be crazy if the Kings ended up with Whiteside. He said I was hoping.... well the wish came true!!!!!!

It's not just the draft, it's the trade, too. From the time we gave Utah a second round pick to take Keon Clark off our hands, we've had nothing but softies in the middle. Now, in a week, the FO (and some luck) have drastically changed that.

I think we're going to see a very different team, whenever it is they resume play.

Not to be insensitive, but I thought this post was funny. So, why did you fall in the 2nd round? Because I have ADD.
 
Whiteside is sorta' a twilight zone Duane Causwell. Cousins is a twilight zone Joe Klei...ok ok.

I am sure that having Cousins and Dalambert inside will open up as well space for our outside shooters and we will finally have an inside game.
Crazy how everything changes within 1 week!
 
It could be a bust if maturity issues don't pan out, but it is a good draft talent wise. Still need a PG/Combo guard to pair with Reke in the guard rotation.

This is indeed the luckiest draft ever to the point it is shocking. I feel we are so blessed.

Cousins (flaws and all) is a great value pick at 5, and I didn't believe for a second that he'd be available after the lottery. Throw in Whiteside at 33 (someone who was mentioned in the late lottery for most of the season, and that's pretty lucky.

Are front court now looks damn scary and the future is even scarier.

Now we can decide to give that damn big contract to an all-star/superstar wing player.

Sign a superstar/all star player for 5 years. And I will surely bet in that 5 years will surely have at least 1 Finals appearance.

Maybe too early to see. But with most of our solid players in rookie contract. Dynasty is inevitable. (Or maybe I got too carried away). I'm just really damn happy today! :D:D:D
