Camby to Clip for a second rounder!

HOLY WOW!!!!!! UNBELIEVABLE! Well maybe if we give them a future first they will give us melo, heard they might be shopping him!

Now that I've recovered a little bit, how in the heck does this make sense for the Clippers? Camby is a guy you trade for if you're close to going somewhere. The Clips most definitely are not.

I mean, yeah, it's the Clippers, but still.

7.5 mil a year...Less then Artest makes. Less then Kenny Thomas makes :)

I don't know, I wouldn't want to run into a Kaman/Camby frontline next season.

Saves the Nuggets about 16 million next year though. Still, as a fan that has to hurt!

So, do the Clippers want a good defensive SF to shore up their front line?

Nope...its back to my Artest for Tim Thomas and Thornton idea. :D

Hi, here is our defensive frontline: Chris Kaman, Marcus Camby, Ron Artest. Score on us, I dare you. :)

At that price, why not? Maybe it will help convince one of the free agents left out there to sign

That trade most likely would have been there throughout the offseason since the Clips are the only team left with real cap room. So why not at least try and sign some good young players to offer sheets and see what happens? Why not make a run at Iguodala or Deng? Or heck, at least make a play for someone who's not already 34?

Well signing an offer sheet isn't something you do frivelously because it ties up your cap space for a week, so basically means you can't make any moves. I thought they should've given Smith their best shot before they made a move though. Camby doesn't make much sense at the moment for them, it looks like they're trying to save face as quickly as possible.

Holy Crap!!! I dont care what ANYONE would say...that line-up WOULD be the new BAD BOYS!!! I'd love to watch that team pound the Kobe's in their own building!! Hell hath no fury with THAT Frankenstein-ish line-up!!

I wouldn't mind it with a Thompson, Hawes, Odom front line.

We would get utterly ruined.

But that's short term. A few years down the line after Camby is retired and Ron is in a room with white walls, the edge would definitely switch to us. ;)

man seems like the clips are doing whatever it takes this offseason to make their team better. they needed a pg...they got 1 of the 2 best pg available this offseason. their team would have possibly been playoff bound if brand stayed. once he left they needed a pf...they got a former defensive player of the year who avg a double double and 3+ blocks. some will say davis and camby are old but still, their team looks solid on paper.
