As we get down to the final decision on April 18-19, we need to be as visible a presence as possible. Our grassroots movements (all of them) have gotten us this far. Now we need to finish the game, to show the NBA and the country that #WeAreSacramento - we need to show our support every way we possibly can.
One of the ways we can do that is to continue to support the efforts of Carmichael Dave, CrownDowntown, HereWeStay, HereWeBuy and anything else that comes up to make a very vivid image for the Board of Governors to keep in their minds as they're debating the future of OUR Sacramento Kings.
I have it on very good authority that people are watching and it is the grassroots movements that separate us from Seattle. We have been blessed to have some incredibly dedicated Kings fans lead the way. Now we have to make sure we don't drop the ball at the last minute.
If you live in New York and can be outside the hotel where the meetings are taking place, do it. This is the only chance you may have. Dave is trying to get his RV into Manhattan so he can actually be out front and it would be wonderful if he was totally surrounded by Kings fans in their Kings regalia. When Kevin Johnson returns from New York City, we need to be there! A mixture of Crown Downtown shirts AND Kings jerseys - the more the merrier - would send a strong message. We'll post his flight information as soon as it's available.
