Cal vs Oregon State

What's wrong with them? I turned away to watch the Sox and all the sudden they've blown the game. I was pulling for them after USC went down since I just root for the Pac 10 in general and thought this could be their year after the way they played Oregon.

As a side note I don't understand why non-powerhouse Pac-10 teams can beat a top tier squad and it proves the Pac-10 is a weak conference yet a mid-tier SEC team beating the top dog proves how awesome the SEC is. Cal was pretty impressive against Tenessee, I know that much.

Cal has a horrible defense, which is becoming apparent as the season goes along. During the early part of the season, their offense was so good that it overshadowed the bad defense. Since Longshore got hurt against Oregon, the offense just hasn't been there. The defense therefore has been on the field more and more, which is not a good thing.

I also do not like Tedford's play call.....He never goes for the jugular....He never goes for the big play that will put the game out of reach. Everytime they get any type of lead, he just sits on the ball and runs the rest of the game. All the other top teams go for the win, and try to put their opponents away as soon as possible. Tedford conservative play call keeps every game close and puts the pressure on the players. With the talent that Cal has at the skilled positions, they should have a ton more big plays than they have.
