Bye honey I'm going Zo-dunking!

Seems like dunking on Zo has become a popular pastime in the NBA :) I saw Milicic, I saw Simons, today I saw Vincanity (3 times -untill finally Zo blocket his game deciding shot). But seriously, I don't remember people dunking on Vlade so much when he got older. What do you guys say? I think it's quite possible players try a bit harder, just because Zo was such a good shotblocker (now being just a shadow of his former self).

Actually, it only seems that way because Mourning challenges these shots. He even recently said in an interview that in order to be a good shotblocker you have to be willing to be "dunked on". The only reason Vlade never seemed like he was dunked on ws because like most centers, he wouldn't challenge a dunk. Mourning's fearlessness makes him one of the most intimidating presences in the paint and I think any coach would love to have that even if it meant his players would be shown on someone else's highlight reels occasionally.

Challenges everything + not a huge center = gets dunked on a lot. He got dunked on a lot when he was young too. Back then it was usually only the big guys who powered on him. Now it's little guys with hops. He should know better than to try blocking Carter though. It's better just to foul him.

On the other hand, I don't recall too many people dunking on Shaq...

I don't recall any times that's happened.

He either moves out of the way or hacks you. And even when the dunker catches him a bit off guard, it's harder to power thru his arms and/or torso than Zo's.
