Brian Shaw and Robert Horry in Sacramento??

You see, he feels so bad about yanking that ring out of our hands that he feels the need to make it up to us by coaching us to the promised land!

I'm down.

reyes13 misread the comments. It wasn't Horry who was upset at all - it was Grant Napear who said HE (Grant) was so upset he drove home rather than take the team plane.

Perhaps the Sacramento make-up has been too filled with close but not cigar types like Peja, Webber and Christie -- guys who feel little tingles in their shorts with the game on the line. Think Vlade would hit a late free-throw? Horry has no fear of failure and that could be great for a franchise that seems to have found a comfort zone in losing.

Horry lost his cool and bumped Nash out of bounds. Big deal. I'll bet much worse things happen in practice. He's certainly not the only player or coach who ever did it. Malone used to throw harder shots every time a guard went through the key. Barkley, too. Of course Shaq and Fox were the Princes of Filth. Horry is not in that category.

Horry could be just the kind of influence needed. A winner.

quoted for truth. theres some extra mustard on that foul, and of course, no play on the ball, but did anyone notice that steve nash stopped himself on the scorers table, landed on his a$$, then proceeded to throw his hands up and lie flat? its hilarious what steve nash does in all his games to sell fouls, and give steve nash the presence of mind to sell a foul that didnt really need seling, even after he quickly got himself out of harms way. that extra bit of acting also escalated the altercation... and that altercation led to amare and diaw getting suspended. not saying that if he just took the foul amare and diaw woudnt go after horry, but im saying that its worth considering.

also, steve nash is a 6 foot stick, with no mass, and little muscle. horry has gained a bit of weight through these years. it doesnt take a physics professor to tell you that a collision like this occurs anytime a something big hits something small.

Aye, I understand that. Just having some fun.

Horry hacked the Suns' best player in the closing seconds of a losing game. Classless.

I've totally forgiven him for Game 4 2002 WCF though, because 2 years later, he turns it on for the Spurs in the clutch and knocks the 4 HOF abomination of the Lakers out of the playoffs, and into mediocrity. Which is where they remain.

?

The 4 HOF Lakers BEAT the Spurs that year -- Detroit was who knocked them out.

I don't mind that we're considering Shaw, but he and Horry are not joined at the hip as some sort of package deal.

If Shaw is the best guy still available after we're done procrastinating, great, hire him. But Horry doesn't intend to be available for another year, and we're under no obligation to accept him. Shaw hasn't even said that he'd want the guy. So let's keep our issues separate. Horry is not on our list to be interviewed, now or ever, and there's no reason to expect that to change. Which suits me just fine. Let's drop the subject.

If you can't beat 'em, join 'em!

Or, have them join you!:D

If we get Shaw, Horry would be the icing on the cake!
